It’s a tough one. Public RP is great. I’ve participated in a lot of it on both Wyrmrest and Moon Guard. Mostly from wandering into a bar and finding people talking. I’ve never been one to really pay much attention to conventions and so if I can (IC) butt into a conversation I will likely do it. Now, if I’m met with frozen conversation or PSTs that say “Go away” then I’ll drop it. But you can often tell from the tone of the conversation if you’ll be welcome or not. Of course, being decent at RP and picking up their conversation helps.
One thing, as mentioned by someone else - I haven’t done much RP in a couple years, and it’s entirely possible that it’s changed. I did belong to a guild (since quit) that I actually caught making fun of and making it hard to RP for a group in Duskwood. Things like that are most likely the cause of a drifting away of RPers.
I’m in hopes we’ll reignite the passion for RP.
I’ll be rolling on Bloodsail, and I look forward to seeing any of you there.
I’ll be Malaw … she’s been my main for 14 years and I see no reason to change.

I used to throw in the gnome’s “my, you’re a tall one” to Draenei - since even to a human, a Drae is tall. I know, no Draenei in this game, but it’s still a funny saying.
Nope. But you might give RP a try. If you have any drama in your soul at all, it might be that you enjoy it.
Haven’t you ever wanted to be someone else? It doesn’t have to be complicated, you just have to decide who you are and react like they would. Is she a hothead? Is she calm? Does she like people? Is she scared of gnomes?

I must have mistook what you said then. I apologize
A lot of people play on retail RP servers who don’t actually RP.
I don’t think it makes sense to say “you have to/need to RP if you’re on an RP server.”
I don’t think we should use retail as an example of what to do in essentially any capacity.
I am prepared
"Rhu smiles at you and sighs. He hands you a piece of parchment that he has obviously carried for a very long time. On the parchment are the words, I am a deaf mute.

I just want to say to all the paladins out there, you don’t have to be lawful good. Originally, they were a group of priests from the decimated northshire abbey and knights of stormwind that worked together to form paladins. You don’t necessarily have to have sworn an oath of fealty.
