Yep just noticed today, got 2 of them, thought it was some super rare thing at first, but 10 minutes later on an alt got another one.

Now if they’d make the forbidden tomes BoA so they are worth something on our mains.

They should have added sigils from the beginning, then we all would have been farming tokens on our alts instead and wouldn’t need those tokens to be BOA.
EDIT: Actually never mind that, been on the island for like 30 minutes on an alt, 9 sigils, a mount, a weapon, a neck and 5 upgrade tokens. Feels like the drop rates have been increased.

I don’t know why they don’t just allow us to upgrade Tier 1 to Tier 2 using the Untapped Forbidden Knowledge items instead of the Storm Sigils but okay…
This is a great change, but it would be even better if we could get Storm Sigils from treasures and quests in FR. Sometimes I get to FR and no one is killing rares or even doing the Froststone Vault event.
Does Untapped Forbidden Knowledge not drop anymore? Been out here farming for 5 hours and not a single one? I’ve gotten 75 storm sigils though?
I got a few on an alt earlier tonight during a war creche farm. Only 3 though in about an hour.
Same. I was out trying to get some keys to finish up this weeks vault, but all it was giving me was the forbidden tomes. It was crazy.
Omg yay much needed feature definitely gonna make catch up gear wise on this one less painful.
Oh that’s wonderful! This shower of alt gear is just delightful. This feels like an end of expansion amount of catch up. Not end of the first major patch. Well done, blizz.

RNG is just as fickle as ever, I think. I got 5 tomes within an hour today.
Or you know, we can have both.

I don’t get it. I have bags and bags of BOA gear and tomes. What are the sigils for? I can’t even use it to buy a pet or mount.
theyre used to upgrade the base raging storms gear from 356 to 385 which then can be upgraded to 395 with the forbidden knowledge
theyre great if you cant get that one piece to drop

When this was hotfixed in earlier I thought it was a bug. 
I doubt they will change it last minute, if they would have, they would have already done so with this latest change.
Just go farm some rares with your alts that still need this or that, by the time you get enough sigils you will have either already found the missing pieces and got some upgrade tokens.
Storm Sigils allow you to upgrade 359 gear to 385.
For armor, you could get the 385 directly from BoA tokens without Sigils, but BoA weapon tokens are very rare. Many people are finding that they can’t get 395 weapons despite having enough tomes, because you can’t upgrade directly from 359 to 395 without upgrading to the 385 stage in the middle using Sigils.
Before this hotfix, Time Sigils were timegated (11 or so per week?) and had to be farmed from multiple specific events.
