Functionally a different dungeon. Not the same experience.
Priory and Cinderbrew are not good dungeons, and Cleft is cool but not what I like in an M+ rotation, personally.

Trying too hard, bro.
Similar feelings with necrotic wake and mists. Been there, done that in SL for 3 seasons from 2020 to 2022.
Starting the opening m+ season of the expansion with these two have really watered-down this season to me, because after merely a week, I already was totally bored with them and actively avoided both.
This is just like starting DF with Court of Stars which available on Timewalking m+ diff in SL starting from 9.1.5 and was dropping bis gear for many, but it somehow still ended up in the DF S1 poolâŠ
It was only good for one phase, at level 25. Thatâs when my brother and I played.
Gotta agree. And it was really only fun for a week or two.
The classic team needs more money.
Of all the expansions that were brought up as potential classic games, Cata was the only one that got mostly negative feedback. But they wanted to do it anyway. They have told us they create the game they want to create without taking into consideration what players may want to pay for. After all, we have been told many times that unless players can unify 100% behind a single vision of the game, they donât know what they want and shouldnât be considered in development.
But then, TWW is the repeat of the changes to healing and instances that happened in cata and had to be reverted because of players unsubbing. We have been told many times that if only the changes hadnât been reversed, players who left forever would have âadaptedâ and âgot gudâ.
I chatted with a fair number of players when I played classic. I asked them why they left retail, and they were happy to discuss it. A lot of them quit in Cata and have never played retail again.
Blizzard really needs to stop designing this game around the top 15%-20% of the playerbase.
They brought classic back just for you guys⊠retail will never go back to classic. Time for you to come to grips with that. Classic was far to easy mechanically, and its only difficulty was in how much health the mobs had vs your spells.
Iâm perfectly happy in retail and Iâll bet that Iâm much older than you.
This is from the dude who just rifled off 20 comments on the forums for a game he doesnât even like
Yea blizzard legit uses classics existance to justify never making retail good.
And they legit expect people to play classic for rhe next 100 years and never get bored or unsubscribe.
doesnât change what I said. retail will never go back to classic. it was too easy as proven by how fast guilds downed ALL of the bosses in Molton Core in less than a couple of hours in blues and greens.
OP has gotta be gone by now.
What do you mean? Molten core took longer to beat than almost any raid in history.
People did the same thing with Ulduar and everybody said that raid was hardâŠ
When TWW classic comes out Im sure everybody will beat Anubar Palace day 1 with 0 problem.
20 years of hindsight will make any game easy.
If thatâs even true itâs because people back then were absolutely awful compared to now. MC Wasnt actually hard at aml
The only reason the modern raids are hard now is because people are awful. In 20 years they will be better. Obviously.
Literally what I just said.
Well you only said it about MC. Not about modern raids.
Sure it is. All 8000 ppl that play it in the US agree.
Raids on retail are more complicated than classic raids.
Classic raids were hard because the average players were even worse than today.
Blizzard saw success with Classic in 2019 (1.7 million twitch viewers, millions of resubs etc.) not simply because people wanted to play Vanilla WoW, but also because Blizzard all of a sudden was offering an additional WoW service that satisfied a different niche for the game.
Then they went backwards instead of capitalizing on that and kept making retail garbage like Shadowlands. Iâm really confused as to how they donât understand that WoW, as the long-standing game that it is at this point, really requires multiple different versions up simultaneously and all actively supported in order to appease their diverse (but slowly shrinking) player base. They will never be able to please everyone or even the majority with retail. Itâs really only the raidbros and m+ bros who continue playing uninterrupted, their niche consistently satisfied. More casual players are often left aimlessly wandering.
Not when they released classic. Took about 3 hours total. During vanilla sure. People werenât as good at the game as they are now. A LOT of people who thought they were good at the game (on big streamer comes to mind⊠the bald one) really werenât.
Mechanics now are vastly more difficult and superior to anything that was published in vanilla, or what is currently happening in classic. It just is. and youâre not going to get classic in retail. ever.
