We didn’t stop her at any step so far
All we’ve accomplished is scratching the heart of darkness.
She’s not dead, she’s not hurt, and she’s sustained no serious damage from any of our efforts.
The heart may be damaged but we don’t know for sure. All we did was upset her and she disappeared. For all we know she still got away with at least part of the power from Beledar, in addition to everything she siphoned from Dalaran and whatever she was after with Queen Ansurek.
Also, can we stop with the “Oh no a main character died… lol jk here they are again”
That whole scene with Kadghar was one big joke. Making us think someone died once is hard to do well, but doing it twice is just cheesy
And she’s absolutely no threat at all and not even scary. I think there are Pokemon bosses that are more terrifying more than likely.
I think it’s mostly because Blizzard won’t tell us anything about her.
All we’ve heard is she’s “risen from the ashes of numerous empires” Which only tells us she’s super old.
Blizz hasn’t really revealed anything else about her.
We don’t know how powerful she is, what she wants, where she’s from, or what her intentions are.
We’re honestly in the dark about the main character of the expansion, which is weird considering how long it’s been out. I think they’re either trying not to reveal too much too soon, or they haven’t even finished her story yet and they themselves don’t know
Well then we need some build up here. A haunted old god mansion with backstory. A few hidden lore books in patches, and so forth to fill in some menacing gaps.
I agree. Xal’atath has been around since legion and we’ve literally learned nothing new about her.
All that happened was she took over that dead elf’s body
