Re-doing Val'sarah and

Why are druids and the dream the easiest thing in existence to corrupt?

Like Sargeras at least had to offer draenei power and Kil’jaden did the greatest gaslighting campaign ever to get the orcs

But Xavius just throws a rock at Malygos and he suddenly goes full nightmare and wants to kill everyone?

Why are they so sucky at not being corrupted?

You do know you are an orc DK…

The only thing that gets corrupted faster than an orc is a Forsaken while everybody is getting along for 5 minutes.

Originally, the Dream wasn’t corrupted but because a world tree was placed in Northrend, its roots reached the imprisoned old god. When the tree was discovered, it got cut down but by that point (and unaware of the damage,) it was too late. Thus the emerald nightmare was born in pockets of the dream and bit by bit, as time went on, more of the dream became corrupted.

Wait, what? Malygos?

Garrosh made some good points at first

Plus I had to die to be a DK, thats barely corrupted

Yea, he was all like BLARRR LEAVE NATURE ALONE and Xaxius was all like KOBE and threw a rock at him and he turns to a nightmare dragon

I was sad cuz hes my favorite lore dragon

It was a pillar of creation corrupted with Void magic. Its not the same as Sargeras talking from a distance to the Draenei unable to force them to anything, nor Kil’jaeden to the Orcs for the same reason.

Anyone shot with that corrupted pillar of creation doesn’t get corrupted, they outright die.

You can’t fool me, Kil’Jaden!

Bro is was a red rock

He just threw a rock at him man

That red rock was the pillar of Elune.

That rock had more power than the entire Monks of Azeroth combined.

Fine, it was a fairly sharp rock I guess

Yea, most rocks do?

The way I see it, being a druid means binding yourself to the dream. If the dream suddenly changes, so can you, it’s an enormous trust exercise and if it goes wrong it goes very wrong.

But it is interesting to think about what it means that the dream itself to be so easily changed on a large scale. It’s almost as if it literally is the dream of a sleeping cosmic entity and can shift on a stray thought.

That was the Tear of Elune he threw. One of the pillars of creation.

And that was Ysera. Not Malygos.

That doesnt even come close to answering the question

Well the Tear of Elune has that pointy end. Makes it far more dangerous than a regular rock.
