Issue: I was soloing the rare elite mob in Ardenweald on my Night Fae hunter. The animaseed light debuff was about to run out, so I grabbed the Sparkling Animaseed and re-applied the effect. However, Valfir’s Misty Veil aura re-appeared instead.
What’s Expected: Re-applying the animaseed light debuff should not cause Valfir to regain its Misty Veil aura. (If this is actually intended behavior, it’s certainly non-intuitive and ought to be changed.)

Still an issue, along with the unhappy discovery that having more than one stack of the debuff also causes the same problem behavior. Better hope you don’t cross paths with another Night Fae Covenant member…

Still an issue and people are using it to grief. I wish Blizzard would fix this instead of paintings and names.
Not many Night Fae players do the event anymore (at least on my realm), but today I can confirm that the problems in regards to Valfir’s aura still exist.
I was in the area on my Kyrian monk alt and saw that a Night Fae warlock was soloing Valfir. I joined in… and so did a Night Fae hunter who applied the second Animaseed Light debuff, causing Valfir to dodge all attacks. Luckily, a third Night Fae player swooped in to apply the third stack of the debuff so that Valfir could be damaged again.
It’s been close to a year and this should not still be a problem, considering the loot Valfir drops and is a possible criteria for the “Adventurer of Ardenweald” achievement.
Update: I was able to solo and defeat this rare
Not only this but I was fighting it and the anima seed gear wheel to use it stopped working. it worked only once and when his veil reset for unknown reasons I could no longer grab the seed again wtf is going on with this broken quest?
