My little dpriest does more hps and dps at 625ilv than my rdruid at 643ilv. I’m not even good at dpriest and have been playing rdruid for a year
I’m personally having a better time on my RDruid. Granted, DPS is definitely worse but my healing is great. Plus, Disc feels boring now. All I’m doing is pressing smite. As a Druid, I’m playing Beethoven.
IDK how it is right now because I’m not exactly playing Resto, but right at the start of the season, a couple of weeks ago with the same ilvl, I was pulling way ahead by Catweaving with Wildstalker and the proper dps-related talents in the Resto Tree.
But that required me only to heal during energy downtime, which obviously isn’t feasible in hard content where people are taking a ton of damage.
Im pretty sure bfa killed any chance of them buffing our dots back up but some damage added to wrath and shred would be nice for single target and would help Doc and Call with viability since theyre kinda dead after 8s or mid heroic raid this season.
Maybe rip and starsurge too since theyre on a cooldown or combo points system and interact with MS.
You’re doing something wildly wrong on your Druid if you’re 20 less item level disc is out healing it.
I don’t think so. I also tank and after having a few healers, disc is just that much better. Although I found a better rdruid spec which puts me on par with disc healing, but it’s still a lot less damage
The damage I was never debating, but redruid througput is wildly good atm.
