RDPS classes

Hey everyone! I’ve been out of the loop for PvP most of this expansion due to my group of friends prioritizing PvE content, and I’ve been getting the itch as of late to give PvP another shot! Typically I’ll stick to random BGs and WPVP, but looking to be a bit more open this time when it comes to rated matches. I’ve narrowed it down to a small list of classes and would like some input from you experienced PvPers of this expansion on some strengths and weaknesses of each of these options! Cheers!

Classes I’m looking at:
Druid (balance)
Priest (Shadow)
Warlock (Demo or aff)
Hunter (Literally any of them, including survival)

I’ve never played 3 of the 4 classes you listed in PvP, so I’ll speak to the one I have.

Druid is fun. You spend most of your matches (RSS) running away from melee murder machines while re-applying dots and waiting for a window to unload outer space on someone, which leads to exciting fast paced gameplay. Additionally, you have stealth which is cool. And you can cyclone people, which is fun to do since you know they are thinking “ugh” everytime you do it.

Balance and Shadow are top dogs even after multiple nerfs. There’s a low skill floor on balance for just pumping dmg (a bit higher for shadow but easier w/ mind spike being shadowfrost school). The skill ceiling is higher because you’ll be the primary target most matches, and they both have crazy good cc and utility that you have to use.

As for lock - demo > aff for ease of play. Affliction can pump but it gets shut down super easily still.

Hunter - BM or surv are great if you want to plague the 2s ladder.
