If the PL is a caster, that’s his right. You just make your own group if you don’t want to be left out and want to include multiple loot contenders for the thing you want.
It’s only optimal for everyone if you bring as much class+spec variety as possible, so the loot isn’t wasted. This isn’t gatekeeping, it’s being smart.
Less entitlement please.

Why would they care if you went to retail? They want you to go to retail as they make more money.

They’re going to keep reaching for any reason to exclude or tell someone to play their way or quit. Putting RDF into the game removes one of their control mechanisms.
This is the nonsense that loses Blizzard money. I’ve never understood why they tolerate it. Or in this case are supporting it by refusing to put RDF into the game.
