but, my thread is about how awesome and much better the new group finder tool is and how rdf sucks compared to it.

If your biggest reasoning for why RDF doesnât need to exist is because the LFG tool lets you make raidsâŠwhy not have both? Makes no sense to remove a tool that clearly a large part of the player base wants and was included in the xpac weâre playing currently based on something it never did.

Youâre doing gear checks for dungeons? lol. At this point even doing gear checks for raids is pretty useless until Naxx comes out.
Your gonna be sitting in the list with the same amount of time if you are dps, spamming LFG.
This happens in manually formed dungeons groups aswell dude, its not exclusive to RDF.

no one wants raid finder with lower ilvl gear in classic wow
imagine being a dps, sitting in a 35 minute LFG, and then flying to a dungeon and the tank and or healer leave or the players are afk or bad.

Ok, so you agree then that RDF is a great addition for people who want easier access to dungeons. Including RDF has literally no impact on your ability to form raids through LFG, because you cannot queue for raids with RDF to begin with

The new one is Pure Trash, the 3.3 one had some major flaws that would need to be addressed. The RDF version with the updates in retail wouldnât be terrible, but hell, even just the LFG system that retail has would have been substantially better than what we have.
Agreed, itâs been working perfectly so far in Skyfury. The only thing that needs improvement so far is the update rate of the queue, having to click refresh every second is silly.
and let me ask this to all who just want the new LFG tool ⊠as a healer whatâs an acceptable timeframe to find a group? for me 1 1/2 hours is too long
you could literally do this with RDF. you had the choice to pre make a group and just queue for the dungeon or you could find the entire group through it. thats why a bunch of people want it back because it gives everyone the option to pick what they really want
sure, i dont disagree that rdf would be very nice for low level content. you might quest and sit in a queue for a long time but it would be pretty braindead and a nice break from leveling solo, but if i had to choose between one system though, I would still choose group finder
I donât think anyone here has brought that up, have they? Raid finder is majorly disliked.
RDF never looked for raids, but the biggest reason you have for why this LFG tool is better than RDF is because it can help you form a raid.
Cool, we donât want LFR, give us RDF and keep the LFG tool for manually forming groups. Now both sides win.
You wanna keep saying you never said âgearchecked for dungeonsâ when itâs in your main post, then bring up LFR and lower ilvl gear as if anyone has mentioned thatâŠ
its interesting to hear you are having problems getting into groups as a healer. healers right now are probably the most saught after role and almost every group formed has to wait for healers to become available before running. doesnât take too long, but still healers seem to be the bottleneck. weird you cant find groups.
