People already have; it’s called hacking.

You lose. Sucks to suck.
Aww, that’s cute.
/shrug not sure what part of fantasy RPG confuses you.
Do hearth stones also cause your brain to short circuit?
We’re using our imagination that time has passed the same way fast travel works in other games. It is used in games as a way to avoid what many players consider tedious. Once you have reached an area once, it is assumed you can get back there again. There’s no need to prove you can reach a dungeon in WOW because you can corpse run to any of them.
Learn how to comprehend posts. My comment is in regards to what HE posted. Doesn’t matter how it should be, my statement was in regards to what he POSTED.
I’m not sure what your intentions are, but I don’t think you are acting in good-faith, like Sarelys, who has earned my respect and appreciation for presenting their points of view on the topic.
The community may not be the same, but we remain to be the same social species that we have been for the past thousands of years. We haven’t evolved that much.
About the relevance of such studies, the main claim about not having RDF is the social experience, so… should we not take a look at what the social sciences have to say about it? I was surprise that even those in the medical field make the same claims and have arrived at the same conclusion. Psychology, sociology, neuroscience and medice have the same opinion, yet, it’s irrelevant?
FF14 is not in my personal experience, that’s why I mentioned PSO2 and ToF; they’re not the only MMORPGs that I’ve played, but they’ve been the most recent ones.
And, good attempt at trying to dismiss my type-writing skills, I never said 180~200 words per minute, but I don’t know how to express that in English, the number of keys I can type in a minute. Do the maths, I can hit somewhere between 3 to 3.33 keys per second.
Mutual understanding is fascinating. We agree on many points.
It wasn’t my intention to say that RDF removes the first interaction, I said it removes the incentive to have it, which I think is important to have, otherwise it doesn’t feel like you are participating in anything. I remember walking aimlessly in some new dungeons back in the day, not knowing which way to go, and when I realized, the others had killed the last boss; I even asked them to no avail. I hated that experience, still do.
On the next point, a group of people seems to have had the same experiences and impressions that I had, so it is a system that some prefer and others hate; we don’t have the data to say who’s the majority, and for better or worse, Blizzard is not a democracy.
And I appreciate the last clarification, I had the impression that people refer exclusively to the message-board tool rather than the whole mechanics. I can totally understand why some aren’t comfortable using the chat channel.
I’m not happy about what the pro-RDF are experiencing, someone has explained to me the disappointment, frustration and -to some degree- anger they are feeling. Unfortunately, one side or the other was going to get the short end of the stick. Pro-RDF got it. But in the case that Blizzard is actually doing it for the social aspect of the game (what they say and their motives may differ), I agree with them.
It looks we don’t come to the forums to change anyone’s mind, no one seems to be willing to do so. Personally speaking, I come and participate to learn something that I didn’t know. If my words don’t express it, let me tell you that I’ve acquired a different perspective from this interaction. It hasn’t change my position on the matter though, but the beauty of society is the variety of opinions, at least, that’s the case for me, even if we disagree.
this would definitely help most people don’t want to run a group. they want the tool to automatically invite the right role with 0 brain power then monkey push button. button make group monkey win loot happy monkey.
yes even on low pop realms this would help most people don’t que because they think they wont get a group or dont want to reject people find the right people . not because they actually won’t be able to. monkey trained button = good chat = bad monkey flood forum for magic button.
I can’t disagree with that! Some of my best friends came from chats where we were on completely opposing sides. I don’t expect to change people’s minds about a particular topic, but I do like to try to share a perspective that we’re all people and generally speaking we have everyone’s best intentions at heart, even if we disagree on the method or path to get there.
It hurts to see insults being slung back and forth, when people want to express what they think would help the game. This is what many online gaming communities have devolved into though. If people would put half as much effort into communicating and socializing pleasantly with other players as they do throwing insults for someone else having a differing opinion, imagine how beautiful the community could be?
this is why alot of folks block you, youre an obstinant toxic tool bag lol
How is it a hard concept to understand that he’s talking about a specific scenario, so I am replying based around that scenario. If he’s talking about X, why would I start talking about Y?
Don’t waste your time and words on them. It’s a hard concept to understand because they want to insert their narrative and accept arguments that follow it.
Everything else is elitism or biased suggestions (which is abbreviated as b.s.)
Nah I hate RDF but cross-realm is the way. Servers have always been a dumb and unnecessary barrier between players.
And yet you still refuse to explain what is actually wrong with RDF.
because he has no real factual reason, he just tries to spin a twisted opinion tornado which we all see through and when he gets outted for it he stops responding to the pro rdf’ers and just coddles the toxic toolbags. lol.
That seems reasonable, avoids all the problems that cross server RDF brings, but makes it easier to find groups.
Well except for the part where cross server is the only way to actually find groups in many cases.
Prioritizing same realm first would be fine though.
