it’s coming in October is my guess im excited
but I’m nervous as i think they’re gonna screw rdf up somehow.
i hope is 10-80 bc i still an waiting upwards to an hour or 2 in wrath dung group and i don’t have time to wait i got work lol
i was talking about RDF testing on ptr, it’s coming in 10days in the current open PTR, but the RDF won’t come to live server untill the phase4 release which might be end of October or early November.
Here’s the thing. So since you can use it with these Mythics dungeons, that’s going to open up a whole can of toxicity.
People have been saying, ‘RDF is so toxic. People will just randomly kick you and have so much drama.’ Which isn’t true in regards to original RDF in Wrath. For a very simple reason: Heroics were braindead easy. It didn’t matter what your spec was, what your gear was (so long as you hit the very, very basic ilevel requirement). So no one cared.
However, using RDF with these Wrath Classic Mythics are absolutely going to have that level of tryhard min/max toxicity. I can definitely see a lot of drama, and people getting kicked. And the anti-rdf trolls will all say, “See! See how bad RDF is!!”
But the problem won’t be RDF. The problem is these Mythics dungeons that were never meant to work with the system.
No, that’s too early.
You anti-2weekearlierRDFers don’t know what you’re talking about. There’s no reason not to have 2 week earlier RDF.
JJ + RDF = lay shizzo mah shnizzo oom pizzo
well you know aside from being untested and potentially buggy as ___
Yes because all of the 1000’s of NO RDF or YES RDF would hopefully stop…that’d be my only reason.
I’d really like it. I’m looking forward to dungeon leveling with JJ XP buff. The sooner, the better.
would be xqclpogchamp
Its not even on the PTR yet…
Those tryhards can keep using the lfg tool, then. The tryhards might be the ones getting kicked…lol.
No, and this is really just for spite at Blizzard. At this point nothing is going to be satisfactory until they actually start to listen to the playerbase.
Never happen. I can’t think of a company who dislikes their playerbase more than Blizz. At least the Classic Team. Retail, ironically, does seem to be making some attempt to communicate and respond to the players. Classic, however…we’re just an inconvenience.
Oh I know, they have been refusing to listen since at least WoD from what I can remember.
i mean that’s not true for any expansion’s RDF, since RDF is just a tool that groups people together. it’s the people that are toxic, and we all know they’re the ones who are currently toxic with the LFG tool already.
if someone kicks you from RDF for “no reason” then that same person would have kicked you from a manually formed group
Well, when they do ‘listen’ they seem to do it in a spiteful manner. You mentioned WoD…they remove flying. Players were not happy about it. So what does Blizz do? Adds the horrible Pathfinder crap to keep you paying and playing to grind out flying, which for 7 years you simply bought. Now they turned it into a carrot on a stick. That’s what WoW become: how do we manipulate players to keep them around, endlessly changing things. The experience of the game meant nothing.
Back in the day they plopped you in the world and said ‘Have fun!’. And that’s what the game was about. They trusted players would play…just for fun. Now fun doesn’t even enter the equation. It’s a job. You get a checklist of tasks to perform on a daily basis. You need to optimize your time. You need to play the game correctly. Or, better put: as the devs want you to play it. That’s the overall theme of WoW. True choice and freedom are gone. So naturally you see what the playerbase values now: efficiency, min/maxing. Fun means nothing to the players because they’ve been taught that’s not what WoW is about. In a thousand little design decisions they’ve been steered in this direction.
So jump into those scaling Mythics and grind the gear that makes you feel no more powerful because everything will be scaled again once you get better gear as well. It works great for Retail keeping them players engaged!
Yep. I was talking specifically about Flying in WoD. Even Preach fell into the trap of talking about guilds riding across a zone and the world and blah blah blah. The world was dead, people used summoning stones, and everyone stayed either in their Garrizon or outside of Trashcan… I mean Ashran whatever those outposts were. Then Legion with the legendaries and artifact weapons, then again with BFA and azerite traits where the players said “we are just going to pick the best one and these would be the best ones and we arent impressed with what is here” Blizzard said “WAIT! WE ARENT DONE!” and it turns out they were done and it was garbage and it turned out exactly how the players said it would. SL and that heap of a story and taking a steaming pile on the original story because “us new devs know better and we are going to make it so Arthas was just this weak thing and the Jailer was the mastermind of every event EVER!.”
DF was this dragonriding thing and people just said “congrats, you stole a mount from GW2 because you dont have your own ideas”.
And then it continued into Diablo Immortal, and D4, Classic. The whales are keeping Blizzard afloat at this point in my opinion. I havent paid for WoW in years.
