RDF or unlimited 70 boosts

one has a teleport that causes people not to even know the location of certain dungeons
one does not
by definition, the one without a teleport will result in more in world gameplay

and again, just because it is possible, doesn’t mean that’s what the majority of people are doing. we have seen RDF play out. it results in everyone just being half AFK in town all day. nobody is out doing le epic real world pvp or whatever. it’s just not happening. probably because you don’t have to wait an hour to find 5 people for a simple dungeon. the queues are pretty quick from what I understand, especially since it’s picking from MULTIPLE REALMS which is a whole other problem.

Flying to a dungeon is not in the world… lol… what in the…

You that undergeared lvl 63 trying to pvp at summoning stones… Nobody likes that guy… Running dungeons is literally something a lot of us just want to get over… we’re not there to spend hours trying to complete a task. We want to get it over with as quick as possible so we can move on to what we actually want to do.

God, where do these people come from.

We come from the classic community.
You come from retail.

I havent played retail since 2 months into cata.

You think flying to a dungeon is in the world lol… we on flying mounts bro… how many people you catching out in the world on flying mounts… what even is this argument.

Do you even play TBCC, GO FLY AROUND BUD, WHAT DO YOU SEE WITH YOUR CURRENT SYSTEM.

yes, I agree that flying mounts are dumb. in a perfect world, the classic devs would get rid of them and redesign the few parts of the terrain that require them. I’m glad we see eye to eye on at least one thing.

Stop typing on these forums. Thanks.

Is it that hard to just make your own group? Stop demanding blizzard destroy the game because you’re too lazy to make your own group.

but teh text it scrolls too fast it scary >.<

I hit level 70 and went back to retail. The game in this state is unplayable unless you cough up gold or are willing to invest time into finding other people to do the content with - which is actually hard to do right now.

This community sucks. RDF won’t save it. WoTLK isn’t going to be fixed by a dungeon finder tool.

Yeah I 100% agree it’s going to be absolute cancer for casual players And by the time phase 2 comes out The leveling hype is going to be absolutely dead.

People are going to have some way to catch up because of hirloom gear but I wonder how hard it’s going to be for people to get into even normal heroics especially and I’m gonna call this now there’s gonna be gear score and I would even say GDKP 5 man at some point.

So yeah I agree #RFD

I didnt say RDF is anti social. I said the players who dont want socialization are anti social. These are the same people asking for RDF.

1+1 = 2

There seem to be at least 2 fallacies that are perpetuated by the “anti-RDF” people.

  1. RDF causes people to sit around in the cities waiting for it to pop:
Sure, for those that have nothing else to do (just like now, without it). If you have quests, dailies, leveling, or other things you need to do, you can do all of that without having to keep an eye on LFG or some tool. Right now people either wait around in a city or stand by the summoning stone while spamming or watching LFG. How is that better?

  2. Dungeons are more social without RFD:
No, no they aren’t. Spam LFG, invite/get invited, say “Hi” (this step is optional for most people), do the dungeon, tell everyone “Thanks for the group” (another optional step), and leave. Occasionally someone will pique your interest due to something they say, skill, or lack thereof, but even then it’s rare that you would even remember their name. It’s been this way since Vanilla was retail, nothing changes by adding RDF.

Dungeons are generally only social with guildies, and RDF doesn’t change that. Raids are where things get social even with pugs, but RDF doesn’t have anything to do with raids.

I’m a tank and my wife is a healer. We don’t need RDF to find groups quickly, but we want it. We don’t want to have to watch LFG or a tool to form a group. Just click a few buttons, run around questing, and click to go to the dungeon when the queue pops. This gives us 2 benefits. My wife hates turning down DPS (she wishes she knew who had waited the longest… RDF does this for you), and while leveling we can more easily do the dungeons. If we’re leveling in the Eastern Kingdoms, we’re not going to bother looking for a ZF run. I don’t need it to level, and I’m not going to want to take that long just to travel to Tanaris.

I mean there is something to be said that if a player isnt looking for a group for 2 hours being stuck in a town watching chat scroll and posting every few minutes they might be less abrasive when they get into the dungeon.

If they have the flexibility to not have to watch a chat channel or addon to find people to fill their group, they can just click a button… continue doing what they want and eventually they will get their dungeon while not leaving them feel like they wasted most of their time spent in game this session.

They will be happier and thus more social.

In my opionion forcing people to find groups the manual way promotes anti social behavior way more than RDF because the majority of people will give up or just not try at all and stick to their friends.

12 million players at the peak of wows life disagree with you.

There is much bigger factors as to what hurt wow none of which are related to RDF.

your game already exists… it’s called Vanilla, maybe you’d be more comfortable there.

Let the people who actually want a proper wrath experience have it.

what do you people mean when it comes to RDF? REALM dungeon finder?

Random dungeon finder

im 100% against this if its cross-realm. if its realm only I think that is a wonderful idea. but im very against the idea of cross-server queing.

it has been suggested to add a timer incase you don’t get a group in say. 20 minutes, then it opens up to cross-realm. or the ability to 100% opt out of cross-realm groups. those kinds of features i’d be okay with.

but in MY experience, AS SOON as people started showing up cross-realm the behavior / attitude of players dropped drastically.

Sounds great in theory.

I keep saying it, RDF is a great tool for people looking to network and expand their friends list, look for a potential guild and all that good stuff. In the hands of the right community, it can work wonders.

When the people saying they dont come here to socialize, they dont want to socialize, they just want their loots and to gtfo, then RDF is a nightmare waiting to happen.

Yes, instead of the original RDF, we are getting the retail LFG. You fail to accept the fact that they are turning the original WOTLK into retail and that’s a problem.
