RDF or no RDF is a game design decision

No. I just want to play the game I played originally.

Then you’ll be waiting till ICC releases to even use the RDF

CHECKMATE.

You know this is actually a solid point. Flat earthers are insane people but they actually do believe their BS. Anti-RDF players by and large (not 100% though) don’t actually believe any of their arguments. They know they don’t want RDF personally and just say whatever they think will help push their agenda.

I know some people here probably think I’m a cynic, but it’s actually the opposite and I am an eternal optimist by default. Probably why people arguing in bad faith grates on me so much, because my default position is to assume that everyone is being earnest. It’s exhausting to repeatedly realize that, oh right, you don’t actually believe your position at all and are just trying to piece together a word puzzle that gets you what you want.

Yeah that’s why they argue… because they DON’T believe what they’re actually saying…
MFer keeps quoting flat earthers while simultaneously using illogical conclusions that a crackhead conspiracy theorist would come to lol.

I mean…fine?

What is this checkmate garbage?

Stop feeding him.

agreed. That is why the decision is so simple. put it in and those that don’t want to use it, aka, the majority… don’t have to use it.

Im having fun making him look dumb though.

Let’s apply the logic of the “Don’t want it, don’t use it” to other contexts.

Let’s say Blizzard was to implement a Cash shop where you can buy BiS gear. That’s right, you want those cool gloves? They are on sales for 50$. Or that cool Epic weapon from the latest raid tier? Get it for 250$ Or better yet, get Shadowmorn for 750$!

But hey, you always have the option to just go the “old school” way and raid and hope that you win a roll to get that stuff. You don’t want the cash shop? Just don’t use it! Boom, it does now affect you in any way shape or form.

I guess that would make sense to anyone saying “Don’t want RDF, just don’t use it”?

There isn’t statistical evidence to support RDFs inclusion, but then I’m not the one that is constantly trying to pretend that the sub count actively supports my position. That would be the anti-RDF crowd that loves to disingenuously misinterpret statistics that do not say anything, as if they actually supported their position. What pro-RDF does have is valid reasoning to support it. Reasoning that doesn’t fall apart under light questioning and doesn’t fly in the face of observable reality directly in front of us.

Rofl. Is this what you think you’re doing?

You know, for someone who uses that name as an insult you sure argue precisely like every MAGA I’ve ever met. Same level of “wit” and everything.

So you are admitting that RDF is so much better and a superior system that its basically the equivalent of straight up buying gear and you MUST use it to succeed? Alright, we better add it then. Its better after all.

You have yet to explain any of these “Valid Reasonings” and only spout how people who dont want RDF are somehow all mentally unstable and “don’t actually believe what they’re saying” as if not adding RDF is some kind of conspiracy just to spite you lol.

My opinion isnt to add or remove it… its that IT DOESNT MATTER… raids will be fun… dungeons will be fun… How you find a group is like 1% of the gameplay that wow has and is honestly not as important as people think

Finding a guild and running with them will ALWAYS be the best way to play the game so if you’re not doing that you’re honestly missing out on what makes wow fun.

Playing with freinds you know and love is fun… playing with randos isn’t

Please god of WoW forums, bring us a decent pro RDF person that is able to discuss and engage in a constructive discussion and debate.

Thank you.

Every Pro-RDF post has been logical and constructive. Sorry you’re incapable of understanding it.

One perspective allows for only one type of player. The other perspective allows for both types of players. It’s pretty black and white tbh

reads all the “pro-RDF” posts on this thread

I mean we probably could debate that too, but I truly believe the implementation of RDF impacts the entire player base, unless it is implemented:

  • Without cross-server
  • Without teleportation
  • Without extra rewards

This is purely opinion. I’m a 1700cp vet trial achievement Andy on ESO. It follows modern design philosophy similiar to RDF. I’ve had a ton of fun in that game with thousands of hours. I don’t play classic because I want that design philosophy I play classic because I want the old school MMO virtual world design philosophy. I have options if I want a content hamster wheel style MMO.

2009 blizzard also was people who ummmm well had to leave the company for doing things they shouldnt.

Not really. No RDF means the people who want it don’t have it, while having RDF means the people who want it have it, and the people who don’t don’t have to use it

And let’s not start on that “path of least resistance” nonsense, trying to tout that is essentially admitting that people have to be forced to play your way because it’s unfun otherwise
