If they’re paying attention popular opinion is in favor of it. Between here and a couple of the other bigger forums and reddit there’s a want to have anything but the current system.
I’ve been burned by hoping bliz does the right thing the past few expansions, so I have no expectations anything will be different this time. They’ve screwed too many things up for too long for it to be a coincidence at this point. It has to be about money vs giving players what they want.
LFD and LFR systems are the same
instead of finding groups on your server you get thrown into a pot of indifferent randoms whom you never encounter again
let’s hope the Classic project never sees them, because then Classic is basically retail.
Yeah you’re probably right however There is always that maybe it’s a naive hope at this point but the more we complain about it there’s a chance that they will do something about it and put RFD in.
There is the Beta to think about as well if and I know this is a big if We actually get the chance of you good testing this time.
Because I ever feeling there is a hope If people see what Ralph is like without RFD especially the gameat especially the game is now they’re going to get a very big wake up call.
Did he actually say that? I don’t remember seeing him say that.
Why are we discussing the sub count at all in this? Sub counts have always coincided with major content releases, not systems and features. And even if you for some reason wanted to attribute the number to dungeon finder, the evidence would be overwhelmingly against dungeon finder’s value since it saw very few periods of sub count increases.
This is true. It’s really obnoxious that some people try to attribute the increase (or decrease) in subs to dungeon finder. It just shows that they’re looking only at one expansion and ignore that vast majority of WoW’s history.
There’s also Retail servers for people who insist on dungeon finder.
If you group with people on your realm, you can add them to friends, you can run tomorrow’s dungeon with them, you can join their guild.
If you group with someone who is rude, you can ignore them or avoid running with them in future.
This makes a massive difference to social, realm gameplay.
because there was a claim subs were going down in LK towards Cata.
*and the one dip LK had it went up and stayed level or up after RDF… did it help who knows did it hurt LK must not have.
**and people that say there is retail for people that want dungeon finder proves they haven’t the smallest slightest hint or even the vague idea why some people want to play Classic LK and not retail, if you think Just play retail is ok, if you don’t want RDF why don’t you just stick with Vanilla Classic…
I think the social aspect is valid to a point. How many players does a good active guild have? 50? 100? Of those players, how many have a toon with a set of DEF gear? 5 out of 50? How many capable healers out of that 50? 8? 10?
Judging by my own guilds over the years I think my numbers are in the ballpark. That said, your own guilds will run out of tanks, maybe healers who aren’t able to do the daily heroic due to lockouts. If those numbers hold up across the servers, you’re going to have hundred of people spamming for a tank who just isn’t there.
It’s going to be worse for lower pops. Point being, all of that spamming isn’t even going to go anywhere. The numbers just don’t add up. About 30% of the server will get shut out of badges daily.
Not able to answer the question? If LFD is so great, other games have it and you want it that badly, why not play those other games, like Ion himself suggested? In his case, Dragonflight, but whatever your preference is.
