Lets face it, we cant blame these things for the breakdown of the wow community. Have any of you read the LFG chat channel in game or these forums? 90% of the people playing wow, weather its classic or retail, are so toxic they ruined the community. People are the problem. Yes there are a few good people and youll be lucky to fing a group of them to run with, but You cant fix the toxic people. The less I have to interact with them the better I say, but its in retail and classic weather you admit it or not. If you agree hit like. If not, lets hear your reply.

Donât know what youâre talking about. I had an awesome dungeon run the other day and 3 of the pugs added me to their friendâs list.
Just be social, fun, and competent, and then players will want to play with you more and be your friend.

yeah, youâre right OP
blizz should also add raid gear to the cash shop because people are gonna do GDKPs anyway
blizz should also let you buy arena rating since people are gonna sell arena carries anyway
blizz should also sell gold because people are gonna sell gold anyway
lmao
I didnt say anything to that effect at all. Youâre making an idiotic statement.

Eh, I donât know man, at least on Grobbulus people exclusively use LFG to well, LFG or at most recruit people to guilds(and of course offer boosts).
I donât think RDF exclusively destroyed the community, but I do think it played a huge part in it, I am still leveling in TBCC so of course I canât speak for what the end game dungeon grind feels like, but I only had positive experiences so far with pugging on LFG.
This game peaked in beta when WC was endgame content.
People were toxic in 2004 and people are toxic in 2022
If your philosophy is âthe less I have to interact with them the betterâ then go and play a single player game. There are plenty.
systems like RDF/LFD etc. influence the way players interact with one another, so they really do matter and thatâs why weâve been debating that for months on the forums.
I would say thatâs most likely attributable not to RDF/LFD but to too easy leveling where grouping is absolutely not required. RDF/LFD just brings such people into play, with whom we would never have chance to interact otherwise.
The other aspect not talked about is the absence of social media back when TBC/Wrath was around.
Without facebook, instagram, twitter, people were starved for online conversations. MMOâs were the alternative to static forums/chat rooms; in MMOâs you could actually interact and play with the people youâre talking to.
Thatâs why most people arenât âfriendlyâ nowadays. People have conversed enough on other social platforms where they just want to play the game and a majority donât feel the need to express themselves online or even RP anymore which was a big part of MMOâs.
Itâs not that the community is toxic, thereâs just less interaction and with less people talking in general, itâs easier to spot that toxicity. Also makes it easier for it to fester because it doesnât get drowned out by everyone elseâs interactions. Most trolls stop trolling if they donât get a reaction.
