RDF is broken

I’ve been questing and queuing my healer for the past few days, 71-79 and today got dropped into an UK with 4 others in the 71-73 range and I’m at 79.

They started talking about getting 400 exp and what not while I was getting 1200 per mob. They, and I, figure it’s because the anti-boosting stuff put in to keep that from happening. I get why that was put in and if this is why their exp was low then it should be fixed.

They, lower level people, shouldn’t be punished because a higher level is automagically put in a RDF group. If blizzo wants to keep the anti-boosting in place then don’t have it in RDF queues where non-grouped people are randomly joining.

I’ve heard a number of people claim at this point that it appears that the classic anti-boosting xp penalty was being activated in RDF after the change. They definitely need to fix that. The new level ranges are better overall I think, they just need to remove the xp penalty system (and fix a few of the early dungeons that are putting people into them when mobs are gray level).

I’d also post about it in WOTLK classic dungeon finder - dungeons missing in level range since that’s the thread they’ve responded to and where they announced widening the level ranges after we asked.

I’d hope they’re already aware of this and were planning to fix it already, but you never know.
