All these stories brought me to a conclusion: what people went through in RDF vastly varies battlegroup to battlegroup.
I really didn’t have much issue in RDF, even doing like 5 heroics a day for so many months.

Dude they put Warsong and a couple other non-english speaking realms into our dungeon finder pool when I played, and even then I think it was worth it due to the ease of doing content. I did not mind wiping at all on easy bosses because of them because more times than not I was just happy to play the game.
More likely to avoid the rampant bots and RMT on established servers. Giving them the choice to disable the XP boost would be fine, though.
As far as I’m concerned that choice would be playing on a fresh server or not playing on a fresh server.
I suspect the boost is on fresh servers simply because of technical limitations. Imagine doing a battleground. Most players have the buff, but some players from these fresh realm don’t. Who knows how that might interact with things. Maybe it caused issues and instead of dealing with those issues, Blizz just gave everyone the buff.
I feel like if they didn’t have any XP boost on fresh servers they’d be mostly DOA.
You just said that people go to fresh servers to get away from bots and RMTs. You realize a leveling boost just makes those things appear faster, right?
Over 15k peeps on my server… SO much spam from LFG how can anyone see or know who is toxic. Pretty much IF your name is not and talking in my guild I dont know or remember you at all. Not even a little no matter how well you do or dont do in some dungeon run.

I have lfd horror stories in retail. funny ones as the culprits were…in guilds.
a few dungeon kicks in 50 to 60 had a trend.
2-3 60s…in leveling normal. either this going to be cake. Or a kick. as this is sign of troll kicks in leveling normal. Many have seen it.
sign 2 is they are the same guild. oh crap…I am getting kicked aren’t I. Boss 1…okay. boss 2 okay. maybe this will be good. Maybe I am being parano…load screen.
Not hating lfd there. I got 3 trolling butthats from a crap guild. I guess this is how they liked being “social”.
If the same reason I saw for when they voted the other 50 to 59 like me the reason for kick was one word.

I agree, the game will benefit from RDF, but we need to give the new group finder a fair go imo.
If you’re not a fan of it when you get beta/in pre-patch then submit feedback then - Until then Blizz aren’t going to create this new tool for us and just throw it out before they can get decent feedback on it.
Trying it out in beta and P1 would be fine, but we shouldn’t wait until the final phase to, “pull the ripcord” if (and, likely, will) it sucks.
