For the people who say you don’t get silenced for no reason after several reports and squelched from chat. Even Asmondgold fell victim to this lame abusive RCR system recently. I think real harassment should be taken seriously but in the video below you see the GM talking to Asmongold has to waste his valuable time to over turn false reports.
Asmond asks is there something I can do to prevent false reports in the future and wasting both our time. The GM said kindly “NO”
So this is what we got and something that is a problem especially for Classic WoW.
This system is only a bad system and Blizzard needs to do better. It ruins gameplay from massive false reports and creates more work for employees.
Simple fix you can only report someone you have ignored. You can do this Blizzard just make it simple for real Harassment to be reported. Stop the Auto abuse!

That’s the same response I got when I had a non-inappropriate name flagged 3 times and overturned each time, wasting every GM’s time who had to overturn it. The response going forward was pretty much, “sorry, we can’t do anything about automation.”
I don’t like the guy and unfortunately people will focus on that, but the system is nonsense.

And it was dealt with within minutes as he took the appropriate action and appealed in a polite, reasonable manner.

Not sure what you are talking about but it isn’t about the topic. The topic is Asmongold got “FALSELY” reported and banned from chat. The GM saw that nothing could be reported. So he unbanned him. The topic is about the abuse of a system that doesn’t work. False reports to just ruin someones day because you can.

Seems like GMs would have to waste a lot more time going through all of the write-in reports and taking action than they would helping the few falsely reported people that appeal. RCR is better than the alternative.
Side note, I don’t think I’d ever seen Asmongold before clicking on this thread. That is not what I was expecting.

Legit telling others to go spam spit on people because they used the store is legit harassment.

I didn’t watch the video, but I assume live chat or calling in. The few times I’ve had to use support since live chat was added, they usually get me taken care of in less than 5 minutes.

Blizzard doesn’t monitor twitch itself, He said it to them verbally. I am very much on topic as his actions are the sole reason this current issue is even a thing.

Sorry it has never been needed in this game or any game. Especially how it is with Auto bans. It’s a bad system. There are plenty of better ways and to make sure real harassment gets handled instead of clogging up things with all these fake reports. RCR is massively misused.
Simple fix is that you can only report someone that you have ignored.
