RBG Talents

Hi guys. Does anyone know the best talents for damage in rbg and for tank as the fc? I would be glad to know

Not a whole lot different from the cookie cutter pvp build currently. Only difference is maybe running different PvP talents. Death Sentence is a good one. Maybe Double Time over Storm Bolt.

Banner, short Rally, Storm of Destruction, etc. All good.

Basically anything that could help your team or emphasize your role, IE spreading MS or securing kills with Execute.

I hit duelist only playing protection spec in RBGs.

The leaper legendary with the pvp talent warpath makes you a terror on the battlefield. Triple AOE stun on demand to interrupt packs of casters. Dragon charge and shockwave are also effective aoe CCs. AOE root on 6 second cooldown with the thunder clap pvp talent will also make melee hate you in a big fight.

The soulbind conduit merciless bonegrinder for arms also works for protection spec if you have the ravager talent. If venthyr, throwing down ravager, condemning, then whirlwinds with +70% dmg, dragons roar, then condemning again can be some alarming burst damage. Mastery also increases your attack power.

Much of it was just early yolo rbgs figuring out how to make it work.

A prot warrior isn’t a strong outnumbered spinner like a DH tank, but rather as a bulky high-mobility bruiser archetype (DPS-tank hybrid) who can rapidly arrive to a node in trouble.

The RBG group I eventually ran with started running 2 tanks / 2 healers / 6 dps. In big fights, both tanks just run amok in the backline preventing casters and enemy healers from getting spells off. On FC maps, there’s a huge advantage in being able to pass the flag back and forth to whichever tank has defensive cooldowns up. On node maps, its spin to win especially since stealth capping is very common with the popularity of boomkins.

Looks like you’re Kyrian? I tend to run Storm, Shout and either disarm, sharpen, massacre or banner. I forgot to check your rating as this can be important. Not to shame you or anything but a lot of times you find comps in lower brackets that aren’t as effective against better put together teams.

On Horde as an Orc I feel like banner is that much stronger.

Sharpen feels a little unnecessary at times with the time to kill being so low (love this btw). Dont get me wrong, its a lovely talent but I think certain games its not as useful. Playing in a mostly rot team? Might be more useful to secure kills. Playing with a bunch of single target powerhouses? Not as hard to grab kills, normal MS will do the trick.

When I’m playing against a team where I feel like there melee is going to be rough for my team because of either there or my teams composition I’ll take disarm.

Massacre is just a blast at securing kills, I probably take it too often just because of the “fun” value. If this works with Condemn which i think it does? I could see it being much more valuable for filthy Venthyr warriors.

As far as storm and shout goes they are kind of a staple in my diet.

Storm synergy with Unhinged leggo and Spear is too strong for me to allow it to be anything other than a 1 min CD and not spread all that Arms goodness.

Shout is just a solid pick to keep yourself and team mates alive a little longer or through some nasty burst.

My 2 cents, I’m by no means a top tier pvper pulling Hero achieves every season. Sorry for the long post, bored at work.
