I didn’t think I could be hyped about a new patch in DF. But I am. This is so amazing. I’m so happy.

Initially I wasn’t let down but also didn’t have my expectations blown from the announcement video.

But then I saw they introduced Solo Q Battleground Blitz. I’m a massive casual PvP player and I can’t wait to see this eventually become a permanent part of the game.

They also announced that you CAN Q as a duo team, as long as one of the players is a healer.

This is fantastic stuff.

I think about how toxic normal bgs are right now when the team starts performing poorly, then I think about what if rating was on the line. Boy it’s gonna get spicy.

Mute them. We need this so bad. But there does need to be harsh penalties for AFK and quiters.

Well, with solo shuffle, didn’t they create a separate set of achievements, but you can’t earn the 3v3 achievements with it? (Can’t get Gladiator, can’t get the 3v3 rating achievements, etc.)

Though I think with RBG solo queue, there would be stronger reasons to afford it access to the standard achievements. My impression is RBG’s suffer from the effects of lack of participation even more than 3v3 Arenas. Just based on how they handled solo shuffle though, it wouldn’t surprise me if they instead created a bunch of other achievements and missed the mark by excluding a solo queue RBG from the standard ones.

The biggest problem with RBGs now is that you wait in a raid group. So you cant do anything while you wait, and you typically see a lot of dropoff, hovering between 4 and 8 players.

My interest is definitely piqued. I prefer BGs far more than Arena, but kind of dropped out of PVP with Legion.

As much as I hope the solo queue can also achieve the titles… I have a feeling they won’t.

I have a suspicion that the Q times for Battleground Blitz and for when this eventually becomes permanent, will not be that long.

Healing is easier in a BG environment than in Arena. Plus, we have the option to Q as a Duo for Battleground Blitz so long as one player is a healer. This should really help.

At this point, I would really just like to see Rated Battlegrounds removed in favor of this new system altogether. Keep Arena Premade groups as an option though.

Well thats why queues are long. Because everyone thinks that way. We need more people to care about the community and heal.

Give me a character boosted to max level with gear and I’ll queue for healer. I’ll be pushing random buttons but hey the queue will be faster right
