Can someone explain how im 1300 rated, play a team thats 1470 rated and win, get like +9 rating, then it decides to put me against a team thats 1690 rated and we lose, and then i lose 3 rating. Shouldnt it just keep me in the same damn bracket? Or if you are going to set me up for a loss as 1690, give me the damn 1600 rating so i can at least upgrade by gear before i get stomped.

If you win the higher rated then your mmr is going to get higher and you will stop only earning scraps.
It’s like chess… U never get better playing someone not as skilled as you. You play higher MMR teams as you win and get bigger gains. If you lose you don’t lose any points. It makes more sense when you get up around 1800+

Yep… I notice after I broke 1800 how much faster and stressful matches become. Like… teams know at that point that spinning a flag is superior to assaulting bases, and counter to this how insanely intense teams try to ninja caps from right under your nose in a team fight. To a point I remember seeing 3 enemy players in AB or seething shore relentlessly try to ninja cap because they just could not best us in a team fight.
I know I’ve brought an inexperienced player along if it’s a stalemate brawl at a node and we lose it to a ninja capper during the fight because they were not watching.
Things really heat up the higher you go.
sounds like you’re confusing rating with MMR
If the teams mmr and rating are 200+ over mine, there is no reason for me to lose rating. None.
