You can definitely argue, and be right, that comp matters more at higher ratings because the players are all doing their jobs and player skill isn’t as much an issue but to say that comps don’t matter at lower rating, is somewhat daft IMHO.

Your team that was 2k last season that is stuck (right now) at 1690 still have 3 weeks less than the whole season in front of them.
They change inflation numbers and they’re pretty trasnparent when they do it.
They don’t go and literally change the MMR. They just change the inflation people get on the weekly reset to slow it down or increase it.

I’m implying that last week my guild and I cleared Normal. This week we are running Heroic. I don’t want to PuG heroic, I want to progress with my guild. You called out my raiding info, I told you why.

It was to address your point that there was no deflation in shadowlands season 1. Its to point out that deflation can happen even when participation is high.
They did at the bare minimum “literally change” the mmr for solo shuffle as per the blue post I linked earlier. Whether they changed all the other brackets along with solo shuffle, we can only infer by looking at the data.
My main issue is we cant even get to 1800 despite being in the top 10% which historically was the requirement for rival.
When I say we are in the top 10% that is based on data that used to be available on luduslabs before it shutdown.

i find this false over my course of bfa and s1 SL all i ever did was yolos n i managed to hit 1800 , i still plan on trying this season aswell . maybe you just had bad luck .
This is my primary argument against solo RBGs. Solo Shuffle was accessible, because you just hit a button and waited, but it sucked the life out of 2s and 3s.
Now that the problems with Solo Shuffle have made themselves evident, the people who only played Solo Shuffle have stopped playing altogether until Blizzard steps in. And what could Blizzard even do besides balancing turns? You could think of any healer incentive, but I highly doubt it would get many dps to just play a healer.
This is why I make the point, time and time again, that RBGs are still accessible. If you don’t want to wait for the perfect storm of meta specs and high xp, you can host your own. If you don’t care and just want to play, you can sign on for a yolo. It’s not hard.
Time-consuming? Sometimes. But you can’t argue that Solo Shuffle or solo que RBGs are/would be any faster, because they aren’t.
