Razorgore Preferred Strat

What strat is your guild going with for Razorgore and why?

We are starting with the 2 groups on 1 side of the room method and modifying it from there. This seems like the simplest method and want to see if we have enough dps to do it this way. Is it ideal to have a hunter kite the dragonkin using the 2 group method or should we be okay not kiting them?

Also, are you going to have the MT or OT break the last egg to get initial aggro on Razor?

Feel free to point out anything your guild is focusing on during this fight.

I think the mages are priority kill and we’re going to try to keep adds off the controller. Egg kill efficiency is important too as we want to minimize the time the adds are up.

I dont think dps will be an issue… most guilds going into BWL are downing rag before sons which was not the case in vanilla when BWL came out.

Not sure how we are going to do it yet… I would figure 4 corner groups. I think someone mentioned trying to just kill the dragons

True, my vanilla guild was not downing rag before sons and we are with my current guild.

all those dps bosses are not gonna be trouble of any kind

however i do see wipes caused due to poor tread managment

I think chromaggus will be the toughest boss in there

Back in vanilla my guild tried a paladin kite, but we had mixed results.

Once we switched to the MT/OT dragonkin Platform kite. And the four Corner dps groups. We never wiped after the initial learning curve.

The trash will be the toughest boss

or Heroic Strike.

I can’t wait for Vael. Such a fun fight.

A lot of guilds are going to struggle trying to use the 2005 strategy until they realize they can just aoe everything down and focus fire dragonkin. Actually super easy fight once you do that.

I have always had warriors kite with piercing howl after they get sunders for aggro.
(But that was 15 years ago)

The trash was the hardest boss in MC too. I’m seeing a pattern.

Does Divine Intervention work or did they fix it already?

That got fixed fast, they don’t let you clear the Vael debufs with anything but a bad case of deadness.

Tho this is Classic 2019 so who knows.

I’m talking about the Divine Intervention Razorgore strat.

Basically you could DI Razorgore himself, and then everyone else dies, and it would bug out the despawn so all the trash would despawn but Razorgore and the eggs would still be up. You put a soulstone on your controller so he gets up immediately and controls Razorgore, then “with amplify magic from a mage.” He destroys half the eggs before the encounter even starts spawning again.

It worked for awhile in Vanilla but they patched it eventually, don’t recall what patch that was.

Yes that was also fixed… Doubt they will allow for that again but this is Classic 2019 and a very long list of the bugs that were fixed in actual vanilla got some how left out because… Data side of the game is different from the game engine side of the game.

So was the Z axis abuse that my brothers guild used on Chromag with the stair case.

I don’t think that was fixed before 1.12 if I recall correctly. Could be wrong though, I’ll have to look back at the patch notes.

I think the two-group and four-group methods would work well. If you have an abundance of priests, you can mind control the Orc Mages that come out and use them to AOE down the packs. Little tougher, but lots of fun.

When it comes to kiting, less is more. You don’t want to have too much hinging on a hunter getting dazed.

Lol I remember this. Pretty sure it was rouge tho
