Razer orbweaver in arena?

Been having issues with my hand and cant hit all the binds i use to.

Sooo i bought an orbweaver and for starters i love how the analog stick frees up my hand to be ready to use abilities immediately.

However, being as ive played with asd for 10 years, moving with the stick fries my brain completely.

Anyone with some orbweaver xp out there? Should i use the stick for other binds and go back to the asd setup or just tough it out until i can move fluidly?

Pretty sure Swifty has a guide on how he uses his (I know he has one in his setup, or did) and even though he’s missing his pinky he still seems to play fine with it.

I had to look up the pictures to see what that thing was, it looks impossible to use for an mmo. :open_mouth: When you say you put your movement to it do you mean that little joystick for the left thumb?

I used to play with Nostromo N52 back in 2006-2008. I remember I couldn’t play my warrior using a regular keyboard because I got used to N52, but still playing my Lock on keyboard… fun times.

The only problem is that once you get used to it is hard to change back to regular keyboards… As for “movement keys”, I had setup the binding using the keys in the middle copying the ASD setup/position from the keyboard and used the pad for other binds/macros. Try it and see what feels better.

Cant blame a guy for wanting to take full use of his left hand lol but in all likelihood it’s never going to be smooth enough

I’ve been using that since Vanilla and there is no way I could go back. I’ve worn out 3 of them.

It was called the N52 and made by Nostromo and later Belkin and finally Razer, although I use the Tartarus now which has 1 less row than the Orbweaver.

I did try the Orbweaver but I could only ever reach 3 rows comfortably.

Anyway for movement… I made a bad decision at the time to only use my mouse for movement. Run/strafe/jump all on the mouse. It works fine unless you play a healer, then it’s bad trying to move and highlight frames at the same time.

The Orbweaver has 5 more buttons than the Tartarus so you could sacrifice 3 for WAD. I bind the thumb button to a modifier but using the dpad for modifiers might be better, I would love another modifier for 15 more binds.

Right now I use the dpad for my forms. I’ve thought about using the dpad for movement because it’s very hard to heal and target with the mouse while also moving with the mouse.

Logitech G13.

It’s not cheap, but it’s also not garbage like anything from Razer is.

I would hope they’ve figured it out after 7 months mr. necro.

Just get a new hand.

I’ve tried to use the thumbstick for movement but it really doesn’t work as well as WAD

Edit: oops I should have read the recent replies, I didn’t realize how old the thread was.

I use one w a naga

Honestly have no idea how I could use a keyboard in 2020 having started w a Belkin N52 nostromo back in like 2006

The biggest thing is the thumb pedal as a CTRL mod. Comfy af
