I know single button, multiple action macros are a bannable offense. But is a delay macro bannable?
You can make a version of that in game using a cast sequence with a null function. But i want to make a stopcasting macro with a delay function since i spam keys out of habit and reflex. except stopcasting macros easily screw up the intended next cast.

No not really. It isn’t a reliable way to do anything, padding macro length with garbage will unpredictably fire off different stuff when hammering it.
A fixed delay is absolutely the kind of key automation that will and should ban you.

/castsequence reset=x spell, null works in game. This prevents you from using double off gcd abilities such as shimmer or fireblast etc.
Basically if it can’t be made in-game don’t try it.
Thats fair. As nice as it would be for QOL esp playing the new DH spec, it’s not really worth risking the ban.

Warden doesn’t even detect AHK, which is older than WoW and far more powerful than anything razer/logitech/whatever put out for their “gamer mice” so I think it’s safe to say blizzard doesn’t actually care about minor automation.
Even if that were true, its not, its still against the ToS/CoC.
Been using AHK for over 2 decades now, if it was being detected you’d think something would’ve happened. Keep being paranoid over minor infractions though.
To do what, exactly?
Mash left or right click spawning/respawning interactables mostly (IE: the fel pylons in the tanaan jungle intro for warlords).
Also multiboxing for a brief period.

Saying its safe because you have not gotten an action (yet) is like saying eating raw cookie dough is safe because you havent gotten sick (yet).
That’s not a timed delay. That’s just using castsequence as intended. If you keep hitting it then it will not loop back to #1. Sometimes it doesn’t even work at all, Displacement in that kind of macro was broken for years.
