You have a 649 ring equipped. Is that not the level we’re supposed to be at this week?

I looted one from a rare. That shouldn’t count towards the weekly quest considering my Druid is 652 from the same exact thing. What would be the point of them dropping from mobs if they would take away from the weekly?
Your druid shouldn’t be at 652 unless you faction changed recently.
In previous weeks, only 1 character had to do the quest to “unlock” the raw citrine. Once that is done, the raw citrine can drop from rares/treasures for alts.
Edit: “in previous weeks” because I still haven’t done this week’s, but I don’t see why it would be different.

Yes and each weekly quest grants 1 Raw Singing Citrine. Plus the rares/treasure has a chance to drop an additional one. They shouldn’t be replacements for each other just bonuses to level your ring faster.
Your first weekly quests per account gives you 1 raw citrine.
Afterwards (not plus), your alts can get them from anything, up to the cap which is 649 this week, under normal circumstances.
Your 652 is most likely due to a service request like a faction change and is not intended.

Ahhhhh I see what you’re saying. So they cap the weekly amount? Is there a place they posted this like a blue comment/post by chance?

Bolded mine. It doesn’t give specifics (honestly they rarely do) but it does say over time.

My priest is 652 too. Got a drop today and did the upgrade quest.
I used a citrine last week and my ring didn’t upgrade. This week I got one from a chest in the storm and one from the quest that put me at the weekly cap. Just for grins I farmed rares and chests in the storm for a while to see if I could get another and came up with nothing after an hour.
On another character I farmed until I hit the weekly cap in the storm and then turned in the quest and the citrine wasn’t given, as I figured it shouldn’t be since I hit the weekly limit.
It’s more than likely a bug that people are able to get more than the weekly level cap, but who knows here lately. QA is a thing of the past.
