Just like MMR gets over explained here feel like player activity and inflation needs to be put on blast
The same thing happened in unchained and overtuned specs at expac launch would see “default +500 mmr” if ladder was played as much this ssn
You could play the game before, you just had to do this silly little thing like make friends
“Make friends”
aka - sit in lfg for hours applying/declining because the guy 50 rating under you wants someone 200+ rating over him so if he loses the MMR is less and he loses less but if he wins it’s more and he gains more.
aka scheduling pre-planned sessions weekly to show up like pseudo-raids to just play pvp content. Sweating out that your meta comp can’t beat another meta comp because their meta comp is more meta than your meta comp. Queue dodging high rated teams. Booster/pilots everywhere.
aka “oh you’re not a meta player? just make your own group!” - meaning sit in lfg for 5 hours getting nothing but people 500+ rating under you signing up expecting to be carried because you’re “off meta” and you should be grateful they’ll play with you.
Maybe sitting in the 1400’s bracket playing yolo 3’s for conq cap/vault was your jam. But over 2k+ it became really obnoxious to spend hours a day just trying to play.
Yeah. I’ll pass. Long live RSS. Let the purists tears flow.
I’ve had a capped bnet list since that add-on in mop that blizzard used as the basis for the lfg system.
I’ve never had to schedule, I just asked who wanted to play.
Is everyone on there a super close friend, by no means, but doesn’t prevent me from just being able to log in and play.
Do I need to go back and post the link where you did the same thing to somebody else?
Been plenty of seasons with 2k+ in 3s quite easily and wasn’t very hard getting groups together playing non meta stuff
or u could just msg some1 on ur btag “yo wanna play?”
but u cant do that bc u suck and blame things other than urself
thank shuffle for saving u
Making friends with people’s hard
Didn’t read all of your post because it reeks of beta male with social anxiety. Stick to your solo shuffle - I’m happy you find fulfillment in it. You do you king.
I’ve gotten glad a couple season just winging it. No scheduling needed. Heck I’ve logged on once or twice a week this season and still got almost 500 games 3s games already played with lfg. I don’t sit in lfg that long.
My experience on two seperate characters is that my solo shuffle rating has been pretty much my standard 2’s rating for the last few seasons, so I think whatever you earn in solo shuffle is a good indicator of your actual skill. This is more true the more games you play.
The only exception I suppose is the obviously overtuned classes like demo/havoc/spriest early in the season likely had some rating inflation but probably not much. And with nerfs to all of those classes its less prominent now to find a 1600 player suddenly at glad in shuffle.
your not wrong, sir. your not wrong.
It’s not going to stop unfortunately.
It’s just a reality of the world, nothing unique to these forums. When someone is in a discussion and can’t find a way to grapple with the topic resorting to attacking the person is an age-old strat. You see it IRL all the time too “oh yeah well you’re ugly/short/fat/poor/bald/etc…”. Since we’re online people can’t attack other’s personally because we don’t know how they look, so they resort to rating shaming. It is what it is.
The best thing to do is just immediately disregard anyone who resorts to personal attacks in a discussion, it’s not going to stop but reasonable folks can just ignore those types.
I have a hard time believing you can’t make friends. You seem like such a cool guy.
I usually judge people IRL by their gun collections.
Reasonable.
I’m definitely not judging anyone (to their face or where it’ll leak back to them) when they show me their IRL gun collection.
I judge silently. lol Some guy came to the range a while back wearing a Vietnam surplus duty belt, an olive t-shirt, and camo pants shooting paper targets at 15 yards with an AK, walking around trying to give people shooting advice. He started walking over towards our table and I just dumped a cylinder of 454 casull into the dirt to watch his knees weaken when his Cabela’s foam ear plugs weren’t doing the trick. xD
Yeah, me too.
I pull out the deagle and AWP to scare them off.

Yeah I mean and the “hardcore” pvpers wonder why pvp is dying, it’s definitely toxic and shouldn’t be allowed on the forums at all. We should all be just trying to make the game better and better understand what people are upset about, sadly rarely happens.
No one cares about someone else’s rating in a dead subformat of a game lol… people are weird and toxic, I literally had someone say I haven’t even been playing one characters… really bizarre egos in wow pvp
