I swear 90% of my team are bots. Random realms, character names and silence. 0 objective
yeah its insane
im having PTSD flashback to last night hwere not a single person on my team besides me as standing in the circle in silvershard mines . im screaming at my screen “please walk into the circle!!!”“” but they didnt even try. at least compstomp bots try to do objectives
ugh
or anyflag map where u gotta literally begx100 and pingx100000 to even stand a chance at getting any help
Of course it’s random realms. It’s a solo or duo queue. You aren’t going to see the 5-10 man premades all from the same realm like in random battlegrounds.
Its a entirely new ranked mode give it a month to settle down.
The weird thing to me is fighting in a 2400+ mmr game one match then a 1600+ the next. It feels chaotic
MMR swings a lot more than CR does, part of why it is hidden. and in a new ladder with everyone squished into a narrow band of ratings, the big sort hasn’t really finished.
So yeah, it feels chaotic because it is chaotic. Chaos is a ladder.
I’ve got hero of the horde / alliance on 3 different toons and im hard stuck at 1500. People queue up as tank and fight in the middle and dont even attempt to grab the flag, everyone ignores objective. It’s honestly hurting my brain. At the moment as a healer I’m healing more then both enemy healers combined and still find a way to lose almost every game.
From the forums, it sounds more like people who are used to arena or rated battlegrounds having trouble adapting to the way blitz works and probably being toxic to their teams too.
Learning good positioning when fights are 3vs3 in arena is a bit easier than working towards objectives and suddenly your little 2v2 skimish develops into a 5vs2 becuase enemy stealthys showed up. I was never an expert at arena, but have always liked BGs. The chance for chaotic lopsided team fights has just enough unpredictability to be interesting queue after queue. No losing the match because you died once is also nice. You might get clobbered by someone or a few someones, but still have time in the match to “hunt” them down for “retribution”
Speaking as a solo arena player. This is 100% true. A lot of arena players will mostly ignore healers entirely with the old mindset of hitting dps hard enough to force cds and then killing with dampening.
Except there is no dampening… ive seen LONG group fights where no one dies
this is the culprit
I’ll get my tinfoil hat
its just so fascinating that every single game is 1team that does objective vs a team that doesnt do objectives at all
like what r the odds that happens to me every single game?
i just wish i could have a close game for once instead of complete blowout
It’s not tho. I just had a 1500 1498 AB today.
A come behind win in EOTS earlier.
Had a total fail in Temple and a couple close ones.
They work for blizz
I actually had a 1500-1500 draw in AB (might have been deepwind though).
Its so bizzare. my first couple days doing bg blitz were a really great experience, close games of both teams doing their best to get objectives. fast forward to last night and today where i lost 5 matches in a row that were complete shutouts because my team mates had no idea what an objective or enemy healer was and the average team rating of my team was usually around 1100 and the enemy teams was usually 15-1600 and were playing as if they were on comms. Left a very bad taste in my mouth.
Because it’s the weekend. I went on like a 6 game losing streak in competitive OW2 last night. Today my brother tells me he won 3 in a row because it’s the middle of the day.
Don’t ask me how it works, but I swear matches during prime time just suck.
I feel your pain. I was hoping to hit 1600 this weekend, I played Blitz up to 1598 and was being grouped up with decent players. Then once I’m 2 points (2 points!!!) from my goal… something happened and I started getting grouped up with people who act like they have never done PvP the entire time they have played WoW… I’m seeing afk healers, or healers trying to solo a node while their heals were needed elsewhere on the map, bg heroes who don’t stick to the team fight, or no one wanting to carry the flag… it’s like a switch was flipped and now I’m being forced to play with people who couldn’t win a fight with a paper bag…
I was trying to remain positive and climb my way back up, but I keep experiencing this and now I’m down 117 points (due to NO FAULT of my own) Oh and if I do manage to win a game i get like 3 to 6 points tops… I can’t even begin tell you how discouraging this is…
Honestly I just don’t even want to play the game anymore. It’s a shame too. The major thing I was looking forward to about TWW was the solo pvp ques, but this system seems busted…
To people who didn’t experience this and hit 1600 I hear it gets better for you, because you still get to group with people who know how to play. I don’t mind losing a game, but I hate losing when no one on my team really tries, and i’m doing everything I can do to pull out a victory. And now I’m so far behind that I feel like I’ll never get out of this hole as I’m now doomed to be grouped with the bottom barrel for the rest of the season… Yeah idk, I think I might be done… time to find something else to play.
Being rating brained in the first week of a season is just setting yourself up for disappointment. The ladder isnt sorted out, there is no inflation, lots of new and returning players etc. Just queue to cap and to get better and stop looking at it.
Keep queuing and you’ll get 1600 if you deserve it. That being said, a top player playing your account when it was 1598 almost certainly would have gotten 1600 and well beyond. Just focus on improving, even if it is leading the team and keeping them positive. too early in the season to be worrying about rating constantly
