Chat GPT was pretty good. I would like to see a healing spec myself, but I do prefer Druids. Their healz tickle in all the right places.

Ask it? It did make a mistake on which ‘family’ fel is. I don’t think it’s shadow magic, at least?

But I gave it a lot of pointers on what I wanted to see in the spec and it wrote it out more clearly.

I’m going to work on that and see what I come up with. Using Fel and Sigils would be a good healing tool. This should be fun!

Healing Demon Hunter

Name: Cursed Redeemer

A beacon of hope in the face of despair, the Cursed Redeemer uses their understanding of Fel Magic and Sigils to mend wounds and protect their allies. They also understand that those who use fel magic also pay a price.

  • Role : Healer
  • Weapons : Warglaives, Daggers, and Staves
  • Armor : Leather

Unique Abilities :

Soul Mend : Sacrifices a portion of your health to instantly heal an ally.

Fel Shield : Surrounds an ally with a shield of Fel energy, absorbing a set amount of damage.

Fel Infusion : Infuses an ally with Fel energy, healing them over time and leaving a temporary mark that increases their resistance to Fel damage

Fel Sacrifice: Sacrifices 1/3 of the life of you or a player within your group with the highest health to heal your target for that amount.

Fel Siphon: Heals quickly but due to the volatile nature of Fel energy it will siphon some energy over time from you and your target.

Fel Aegis: The Demon Hunter calls upon their mastery of Fel magic to surround an ally with a protective bubble of Fel energy. This bubble absorbs a significant amount of damage, protecting the ally from harm, However, the volatile nature of Fel energy means that the bubble sometimes saps the life force of an ally, dealing minor damage over time.

Sigils

Sigil of Restoration : Places a Sigil at the target location that activates after a short delay, healing all allies within its radius.

Sigil of Sacrifice : Places a Sigil at your location that activates after a short delay, redirecting a percentage of the damage taken by allies within its radius to you.

Sigil of Life : Places a small Sigil at a target location that activates after a short delay, creating a zone of healing energy that heals all allies standing within it.

Sigil of Protection : Places a Sigil on an ally that activates immediately, reducing the damage they take for a short duration. When the effect ends, the Sigil bursts, healing the ally for a percentage of the damage they took during the effect’s duration.

Sigil of Unity : Places a Sigil on the ground that activates immediately, causing a small percentage of healing done to you and also heals all allies within a certain radius.

Sigil of Hope : Places a Sigil at the target location that activates after a short delay, increasing the healing received by all allies within its radius for a short duration.

Sigil of Resurrection : Places a Sigil on a fallen ally that activates after a short delay, reviving them with a percentage of their maximum health and providing them with a temporary shield that absorbs damage.

Talents could include abilities that enhance their healing, provide damage mitigation, or increase their own survivability. For example:

  • Fel Mastery : Increases the healing of your Fel Infusion and Fel Shield.
  • Sigil Mastery : Reduces the cooldown of your Sigils and increases their radius.
  • Sacrificial Pact : Calls forth a Demon for 1 minute that helps heal and when you use Soul Mend, the Demon increases healing and when it dies, it explodes and inflicts damage to your enemy target on death.

This is a work in progress, but what I have come up with so far. Let me know what you think.

So a spec that has CC, OP in melee and OP from ranged.
Are you sure this isn’t a leaked DH spec because that sounds about right.

I really like it! Fel Siphon could be a bit like a brewmaster’s stagger? take the big damage but sooth it into something easier to heal?

Totally random idea that came while reading this;

A talent skill where you seal the pact with the party; permanently taking % of damage of the entire party but it will instantly res someone who died during battle.

Everyone would be down to 80% of their health while the pact is active. removing this ‘debuff’ would explode it and damage the player down to 20% (say a party member is being a butt and tries to skip out of the pact)

Making the pact is something you’d have to actively press, like a Warlock’s closet or cookie well. So you can’t troll people with it against their will.

Nah, the damage would be lower than the other specs, a sacrifice to controlling the battlefield.

Thank you for the suggestions. I had some  help writing it up, but I wanted it to be something that doesn’t just give health. Fel is a magic that takes as much or more than it gives. I wanted to go with that theme.

Suggestions that I was given I would put in, then take out, then rewrite and I really spent some time on. I want to keep tweaking.

BTW, Fel Sacrifice is a spell I came with on my own. It’s probably why it’s the longest one. Imagine using a healing spell that heals your target a lot but sacrifices the health of a target that has the most health by 1/3.

You can like it or not like it, I don’t care, but add to the discussion instead of just trolling.

Let me stop you right there. Gross.

No >:O

People need to stop trying to make demon hunters healers. They aren’t healers and never have been. Their fighters.

Another DPS spec makes the most sense, maybe a debuffer support spec. But not healing.

So are Paladins, Druids, Priests and Shamans. They all have combat or tank specs. Why can’t a Demon Hunter?
