Chrono - 5
Main Menu - 2
Ranking - 4
Guild UI change - 1
Adding MoS - 1 (this mostly from the WAY they did it, as a stealth drop/SoD Leak)
Remove MoS - 6 (again mostly cause they shouldnt get away with stealth changing era)
Main menu UI change - 5 (I would prefer it didn’t but I get that we might need to be on an updated client)
Chronoboon - 10, should’ve been added much much earlier - I spent a lot of time logged off holding buffs for raids
Ranking Changes (1.14 / 1.15) - 3, arguably a healthy change, but now that bgs have a lower population on era this system is not as good to work with - also some gripes with how the system calculates rank
Guild UI Change - 5 (I would prefer it didn’t but I get that we might need to be on an updated client)
Adding MoS - 10, similar to chronoboon change, healthy balance for longevity of era servers
Removing MoS - 0
I don’t think they should add the druid polearms or undispellable DMT/SF. These do change original vanilla gameplay.
Menu Change 1/10 Disgusting, not needed 1.13 was fine.
Chronoboon 2/10 Just made world buffs more a thing, meh.
Ranking Change 5/10, was the wrong solution but I guess they at least tried.
Guild UI change 1/10 absolutely disgusting.
Adding MoS 1/10 was not needed, and just caused problems
Removing MoS 10/10 well played Blizz, at least they un ruined something
Druids getting polarms 1/10 gross
Druids getting polearm skill eliminated 10/10 yay!
Other non-vanilla changes 1/10, should never have been a thing.
No one asked for that. God awful terrible. Proof the current dev team a bunch of clueless idiots. Mindless nitwits.
Cant wait till this sub runs out. Already off of my other account. I’ll be done with the company for good soon enough. Microsoft will probably just end up shutting Blizzard down if they keep losing them money like this.
Main Menu UI Change - 5/10. This wasn’t necessary but I accept that this makes life easier in a world where we have consolidated clients, whch I generally support.
Chronoboon - 10/10. This solved a massive problem that was having an impact on my gameplay with a solution that did not impact my gameplay at all. I’m open to alternatives but this change felt both necessary and Era design appropriate.
Ranking Changes - 7/10. Overall this is a net positive and it did address some rather toxic player behaviour surrounding ranking, both in terms of community interactions and in people gaming the system with ranking pools. It’s just fine for me but I might have chosen a different approach. It’s fine though.
Guild UI Change - 1/10. This wasn’t necessary, nobody asked for it. Unless this was needed for the consolidated UI (and I don’t think it was), it should be reverted from a Vanilla preservation perspective only. The actual UI is fine and the doom posts surrounding this are grossly misrepresentative. It does everything the old UI did and provides chat history. It’s a value add.
Adding MoS - 1/10. Also not necessary and not something anybody asked for. I like the asymmetrical balance of Era and this took away from that.
Main menu UI change-7 (Offputting at first, but ultimately the search function is a timesaver)
Chronoboon-10 Amazing timesaver, I don’t want this game to be my life/job, and this contributes heavily to that. I feel as those who don’t want this, want this game to be their reality and to soak up all their hours, and are afraid if it’s not like this for others, their escapist world will die.
Ranking Changes (1.14 / 1.15)-5 Seemed good in theory, but have not played with it, and have heard there are some flaws with the current implementations as well. But, the idea of something that doesnt favor bracket fixing and physically unhealthy hours of play seems good.
Guild UI Change-4 I like some of the ideas in theory, and the expanded information, but it looks awful and feels clunky.
Adding MoS-9 I can agree that the method it was communicated was poor. Everything else about it is an amazing timesaver, and I wont repeat earlier points about that.
Removing MoS-1 The reversion was bad, the way it was communicated was bad and now we are stuck with an awful middle ground. I would honestly prefer if they either add MoS back, or remove the ability to get Rend as alliance at all, including thru MC. The current middle ground is just bad for everyone but a few buff sellers.
For me, while it doesn’t affect me directly, I absolutely hate that they remove PVP elements from PVP servers. The sentiment about griefers here could be rephrased as, “Negative comment towards people who enjoy the PVP ruleset differently from how I do.”
It’s this sort of whittling away of any ruleset or backbone, and kowtowing to complainers who don’t actually like the PVP ruleset, while declaring, “But I do like pvp,” and screaming, “but disable PVP for me,” that makes it difficult to maintain respect for the game or those who cater to this behavior, imo.
And we now lose out on the aspects of playing as groups and dealing with PVP on PVP servers as a result. “Oh you like getting corpse camped by 15 rogues that are 40 levels higher than you?” Obviously yes, or at least I prefer that to having a toggle that disallows things like having world buffs dispelled or I wouldn’t choose PVP servers to play on.
Just my 2 cents. But I do think that without this change, people who prefer the safety of not having WBs dispelled would rethink their decision of whether it’s worth being on a PVP server or not, and that might lead to better gameplay and community on both server types.
First, there is only one viable server cluster for people to play with and it’s pvp.
Secondly, I hate the low skill cap pvp like camping low levels or dispelling SF/DMT. I don’t get the joy in it, unless you get joy from messing with other people.
I’m always prepared when I have buffs. But this won’t stop me to say F the griefers.
