Rate difficulty of madness effects in horrific visions

The easiest to me, seems more difficult with ranged

Most annoying imo, attacking slower sucks

It’s ok I guess, sometimes I can’t get to them because an aoe

Have no problems with this because I constantly spam the spacebar even outside the vision

Can tolerate it a bit, sometimes suck in occasional spots

Sucks the most out of the previous two, sometimes I leap into mobs I didn’t want to pull

Real easy to do because it’s the same situation with that one guy in brawlers guild

Sucks alot, casters favorite probably

Seems ok to avoid long as I know where it’s at

What says you GD

Split Personality combined with Haunting Shadows is really the only ones that bother me. And then it is because they always seem to occur together for some reason

These two shouldn’t even be allowed to be combined, it’s just stupid.

Scorched Feet is pretty annoying when I’m playing melee. I wouldn’t say it’s hard just really annoying, especially when I Whirling Dragon Punch because that ability counts as movement so halfway through my rotation I just go randomly flying lol

I’ve only done visions on melee, so scorched feet is super annoying, more so on my Paladin than others.

This is infuriating. I don’t even know how it calculates the direction either, but I feel like it always shoots me backwards mid WDP.

none of them are difficult really, just that some are more inconvenient/cumbersome depending on the class you’re playing.

Split+haunting shadows is a nightmare in mage district, scorched feet is honestly the worst madness period on a warrior in my opinion.

Scorching Feet is my least favorite. Followed by Split Personality.

I would have to say that Split personality and Haunting shadows makes 5 masking a vision near impossible. It can be done, I was close in Orgrimmar killing the 4th boss right before coming here while searching for a list of rotations.
The problem with this combo is that no matter how well you perform 1 slip up or bad luck on a mob ability and your run is wiped.
Had no orbs left because the mini boss threw me into a split personality then stomped on my head and I did really well on the blob I was at full sanity. Boss in Valley of wisdom is normally easy mode so I figured I would have full sanity leaving and would just need to hurry to Thrall and eat a k’bab and drink the green potion I left at the doorway worst case scenario.
The split personality and fear combo chained me into boss stun after boss stun. Burning through all of my sanity and rez and then chaining me back through boss stun after boss stun.
1)basically didn’t see first fear oopsie, right into an orb stunned
2)into fear right into his smash stun
3)tried to move out of purple crap from my new figment friend disoriented into an orb and purple smash
Dead, free rezzed
4) right after rez finished feared straight into boss’s stun smash followed by figments purple crap
5) came out of purple crap right after stun and disoriented right into an orb and then feared right into a disorient in which I slowly watched the last of my sanity tick away as I walked back and forth inside my own trail of purple crap.
Just a marvelous chain of extremely bad RNG after a run that went so smoothly, even Rexxar went so smoothly that I was at full sanity when I used the totem to leave.
Now I did Stormwind five mask run on the first try with the Haunting Shadows and I think Leaden Foot. That run was so smooth with the right pathing in mage quarter. But Split Personality and Haunting shadows means I will be waiting another week to try Orgrimmar again. Those two together can make an 5 mask run go from super smooth to instantly over if you mess up once.
The worst part is this happened 2 weeks ago almost exactly the same way except I was doing Rexxar last and it was the same madnesses. So I decided these are the worst two madnesses to pair and figured I would wait two weeks and try again but the same madnesses are back.

Fun

  1. Desynchronized
  2. Promised Power
  3. Leaden Foot
  4. Bloodthirsty
  5. Entomophobia
  6. Haunting Shadows
  7. Scorched Feet
  8. Split Personality

Annoying

EDIT: Oh dang, this thread was necroed and I was fooled. Whatever, it’s still relevant.

Scorched Feet hands down (melee).

Split Personality is the most annoying for me so far, especially when I’m doing Vision of Org in Rexxar’s area because most of the mobs there do AOEs and SP happens at the worst possible times.

Honorable mention to Scorched Feet which is almost as annoying.
