So I’ve only killed Raszageth on normal (7/8 heroic) and my vault next week will be mythic/heroic/heroic.
I assume that means I locked myself out of a chance to get the bow in the vault since I haven’t killed Raszageth on heroic, but I’m seeing people on reddit say that they got the heroic bow in the vault even though they’ve never killed her on heroic? Not sure if I believe it because no one linked their armory as proof, so… can anyone confirm this?
I can’t confirm but I really hope this is the case. Heroic Raz bow in my vault would be a nice surprise lol.
I have never seen an item quality drop that differed from the dungeon it’s supposed to drop in, including the Vault drops which tell you the item level you will get before you get it. I think you are being trolled.

No, they’re saying the heroic bow can show up in the vault (in a heroic slot) even though I haven’t killed her on heroic, not that the normal bow can show up in a heroic slot.
Someone said they got the staff from Broodkeeper in the vault even though they’ve never killed her.

The vault also tells you the item quality you can expect.

I don’t know why you’re talking about dungeons when I’m talking about the raid? I know the vault tells you the ilvl you’ll get.

I got mine from weekly chest. There was a hunter in greens/blues with one who got it from the heroic cache, i was jelly.
“Dungeon” is a catch-all term for instanced content.
I even explained how your vault literally gives you the potential iLvL of an item in their respective slots for the type of instanced content you do.

To answer the op question blizzard says to get an item from a boss in your vault you need to kill that boss on that difficulty. So to get Raz bow in a heroic drop spot in your vault you should need to kill Raz on heroic. Now there is a lot of debate weather or not this is true. Countless people say they have gotten an item from a boss they didn’t kill. Some people say you just need to kill that boss on ANY difficulty to unlock that loot table in your vault.
I’m not sure anyone knows. Sorry your thread was visited by an angry troll.
I had some folk argue that DF vault changes mean that I can get Mythic Razzy Bow or Mythic Tier from GV 2-kills spot even if I have never killed her on Mythic.
I haven’t seen any picture proof of this.

I understand what he asked, I gave a response, he got confused at catch-all nomenclature when I said Dungeon, referring to a Dungeon instead of referring to a Dungeon as a Raid.
I used this incredibly common and versatile nomenclature as a catch-all for instanced content - which included the raid party content by virtue of me explaining how you know what iLvL you are getting from your vault based on content completed.

the 1st 4 bosses on heroic drop loot at 402 ilvl the next 2 drop 408 ilvl and brood and ras drop 411. blizzard broke up the ilvl on these bosses specifically for the vault. so if you only kill the 1st 4 bosses that drop 402 ilvl gear then you will only get items from them at 402 ilvl in your vault.
so as long as you kill brood you can have a chance at getting ras items cause they share same loot ilvl table.

The GV required unlocking loot by killing the boss on a difficulty a single time in previous expansions, as I understood it. Was this Raz gear on characters who had previously killed her but just not on that week?
The provided screenshot make it does look like you can get Raz Normal Bow in Heroic slots. I’m not sure if you need to have killed Raz during the week or ever for that to be possible.

My original reply stated I haven’t seen any item drop that was a different level from the content that was completed - to answer his query about getting items at a higher level than the content it was completed for.
I then threw shade at Blizz for all of the bugs the game has implying anything can happen with Blizzard at the helm and told him good luck - implying anything goes with Blizzard magic.
The response argued I misunderstood that getting a heroic bow on a non-heroic kill is what he meant - right after stating I haven’t seen content drop for anything above the difficulty it was completed at. He literally said that’s not what I said when I said it.

You can definitely get Heroic loot from bosses you’ve only killed on Normal. Aside from knowing someone that got the Heroic Raz bow at 4/8 Heroic, I got a Heroic Raz trinket while being 4/8 Heroic as well.
In SL, Blizzard clarified that you can get items from bosses you haven’t killed, but at a much lower chance than if you’ve killed them. I don’t know if that applies to difficulty or if a kill is a kill.
Oh I did and as far as I know there has been no confirmation that a boss has to be killed on heroic to open that loot table. Be it overall or that week. Or item level brackets like you went off about for some reason. He has two heroic vault slots. He’s asking if it’s possible to get Raz loot in those spots not having killed it. Iv also heard conflicting information and many different theories for parameters for the vault. So until someone links a blue post outlining how it works maybe hold off on the “Awkshuly” attitude.
