With how fast rares die, it can be really frustrating to see one announced only to find it dead before you get there, or worse – it dies just as you get there.
Some will argue that my method is eating in to their personal time by asking for some patience, which I can totally understand, but I think it builds a better community overall if we try to help each other in this manner.
Step 1
-Get the addons Handynotes and the Nazjatar/Mechagon additions
-Get the addon TomTom and learn how to set waypoints
Step 2 – Rare is spotted
-Announce the coordinates in general chat
-Don’t attack the rare
-If the rare is already being attacked, tag it with an ability and then stop attacking (your parse doesn’t matter here, you got your credit with the tag and you’ll get your shot at loot
-If someone announces a rare, load the coordinates yourself via TomTom. It’s nobodies job to both announce a rare and tell you how to get there.
Anyway I was bored bye.

Good luck getting anyone to do this “politely”. 10 years ago the player base would have done this. Today, it’s all about doing things as quick as possible.
Nah, gonna keep blowing them up with with cooldowns/lust until they get fixed

Polite ain’t the warrior way
jump on it with metamorphosis and burst as fast as possible
As the great Jar Jar Binks would say, “How wude”
If you want a rare, sit down on it’s spawn point and farm it. Don’t depend on others for it.
I see rare, I kill rare. Easy as that. Nothing rude about it, it’s simply the game we play.

Kinda hard to let the other faction know so…

You lost me here. Addons is a no go.
I suppose OP is WM OFF. You cannot be polite in WM ON world. Horde kills you as you’re killing the rare. So it’s best you kill it fast as possible.

I mean today my friend and I were sitting on a rare spawn point while our third friend was out hunting chests and other rares and of course we were going to wait for him, but three players from the other faction were there and tagged it immediately. We weren’t in WM and there was no way to communicate with the opposite faction, and of course I wouldn’t expect the other faction to wait. So… Being polite we did exactly what the OP said to do which was tag it and not do damage, but it still died too quickly.
Now, I don’t honestly know that I want them to make rares last so long that anyone can come tag it. I think that’s just part of rare spawns to have that risk that it will die before you get there. I am just saying the idea from the OP is nice and hopefully people try to be courteous, but it’s not really The Solution.
