Does anyone know or have some insight into how a fresh launch will affect rare spawns. What I mean is will they all be spawned once the servers go live or do their spawn timers start at server launch?
I’m pretty it will behave the same as if the servers were restarted and the spawn timers will start ticking once the server is live.
I’d say it depends on the type of rare. Some are up immediately after a server restart and others must wait out their respawn timer.
All rare up from minute 1, would be such delightful chaos. But, I have to second the idea that it will be mob dependant.
I believe once they server goes live on day 1. They will all be up since that is the creation of the world is it not?
So the first level 38 (I think 38) hunter will get broken tooth. So on and so forth.
Can’t wait for rare spawns to actually be rare again and not respawn every 5 minutes and show up on your minimap…
I remember finding Lupos back in the day, it was such a good feeling, but now rares are so common its part of peoples daily farm trains.

Thats the reason for my qhole question lol.
I’m pretty determined to have Humar from 23-60 so just trying to figure out my chances of getting him right at 23.
If he’s spawned at launch I’d probably have a harder time as people could group up to kill him were as if he waits out his 8+ hour spawn I’d have a higher chance of hitting the mark around the time he spawns.
Tough tame right at 23

Thanks lol and now that I think about it it’ll probably extra rough as I probably won’t have the most gear 9+ hours after launch lol. I wonder if im better off going entrapment and using a frost instead of freezing trap and hope for some snares.
And since I’ll be using the hidden path and going for some flight paths 1st I guess I’ll risk the death and run by his tree and see if he’s up in those first few minutes.

Humar the Pridelord spawns under the tree just north of ratchet, if that’s the lion you’re talking about.
I remember camping for him as alliance and listening to the nice night time barrens music.
Yeah Humar the Pridelord spawns in the Barrens right under a tree above Ratchet. The last tree closest to the mountain range in the corner where the other lions all spawn in a perfect circle.
Lol I spent days waiting for him back in Vanilla.
The Rake is the one you’re thinking of the spawns in Mulgore close to TB.
