Rare Game: Turtle IOC WIN!

I was solo qeueing on my MM hunter and backfilled into an IOC where the initial clash at hangar was lost. We decided to hold in the base and try to wear down their reinforcements. AND IT ACTUALLY WORKED.

The game lasted 87mins from when i entered so for those who were in from the start it was probably like a 95min game for them. The highest HKs on our side was 548. I’ve been playing epics for years and the last time i was in a turtle IOC was in WoD (we didn’t win that game but it was close)

Super fun game!

This has been a lot more common lately.
Horde team just barely loses at hangar because fighting uphill through a narrow choke is obviously a huge disadvantage. But they have a stronger team so they just farm kills and hold the keep when the wall goes down and win.

I’m sure alliance does it occasionally, but horde have definitely had to rely on it more often.

Thanks!

I got really burned out in DF so i swapped to raiding to switch things up.

Understandable.

I never got burned out on pvp but I did get burned out on doing epics so much, so I had to expand my repertoire so to speak.

Always good to see some old hats out and about.

its literally the only strat once a pug team gives up on taking hangar.

Great news. Glad to hear pugs pulling it together and trying to win after a teamfight loss. There needs to be more of that.
