Rapid Fire Bug

I don’t see anything about it, so I’m guessing my assumption that it’s something on my end is correct.

Problem is that more often than not, Rapid Fire will fire a single shot and then cancel. Sometimes it works fine.

I’ve tried everything I can think of, even moving it from a mouse bind to a keyboard bind and even manually clicking it. It’s the only ability being affected. Barrage works fine. I’m at a loss here.

Anyone else experience this and know what could be causing it?

  2. i’ve never had this happen or heard of it happening before. do you use a macro for rapid fire and something in the macro is cancelling it?

No macro, just the ability itself. And sometimes it does work. It seems if it was a bug it wouldn’t work at all or would be consistent. If it just wasn’t working at all that would be one thing and I could start digging, but it does work about half (or less) of the time. Got me scratching my noggin.

are you falling out of range or turning away from your target?

No, and it’s always the same. It fires a single shot and immediately cancels. I tested on target dummies and tried it during combat to make sure I wasn’t accidentally canceling it, but even sometimes when I’m just standing not even firing and use only Rapid Fire it will do it.

Hopefully it’s something that sorts itself out so I don’t spend the whole night trying to figure it out. Thanks for the replies tho!

I have a similar issue with my hunter but with turtle shell i cast it and then it’s gone in 1 second without cancelling it

ive noticed that 1 but i figured id just hit the binding to much, as for the rapidfire glitch it is possible, ive noticed during times of super high haste that i fire 1 shot an then the cast bar is gone but it didnt seem like the damage was missing or the itr buff didnt apply, just the shots went out an the graphic coldnt keep up.

Macro all your shots with this
/use [nochanneling:Rapid Fire]
And should no longer cancel rapidfire accidentally.

Rapid Fire stops if you lose your target. Does for me anyway.

Seen this from time to time, not often. I also thought I was LOSing the target at first but no it will just stop.

I’m not sure what the issue is. I play with console port add on and have had plenty of other issues with skills suddenly not working until I reload the UI. I just assumed it was the same issue.

If you spam the button, it activates then cancels it. Definitely feels like a bug as it only does it sometimes (usually when you really really need that damage).
