All of my characters are not in a guild and it’s happening to me. When switching characters it hangs at a black screen for 20-30 sec then dc’s, as well as randomly while playing, maybe every 20 minutes or so.
An earlier post mentioned two specific addons, Leatrix Plus and Leatrix Maps, both of which I use, and both of which had an update earlier today/last night. Not sure if that’s a connection, but thought I’d chime in.
I also have the same issue on eldre thelas i connect to my 69 character then dc 20 seconds later and get a 519 error im on a mac mini m2 ive also tried repairing wow reinstalling wow reinstalling addons nothing works even tried character move.
I am unable to log in. Had the B.Net client sitting idle on my system and when I went to play it showed the login screen. Exited and realized that I wasn’t signed in. Closed the B.Net client and relaunched but now it shows a 15min que.
I’ve been logged in for a few minutes now, I managed to teleport myself from one map to another and apparently so far without DC’s… I don’t know what changed, I went out for lunch and when I came back I stopped being disconnected, maybe Blizzard finally acting ?? (all my characters are in guilds)
I was having disconnections all morning, then things were okay for a while. Then I just had a huge 20 second lag spike which almost killed my Hardcore Character on Bloodsail Buccaneers.
This is very similar to what happened to me. If I log out, not get dc’d, and try to switch characters I would get a black screen for part of the screen. I couldn’t port anywhere. I would DC after about 20 seconds or dc immediately when the loading screen got full. I was also in forbidden reach and on a shard completely by myself. Every rare was up at the same time, as was an elemental event, as were 3 rare chests. Around 10:30 central last night I was able to stay on for over an hour and do a m+ but haven’t checked today.
As a reminder, we still need connectivity tests. Without this information we cannot look into this in more detail, as this issue isn’t extremely widespread (relative to the total population of the game.) Our devs are currently seeing that the overall concurrency of the game is looking fine and we’re not seeing mass drops, and not everybody is experiencing the same behavior with respect to guilds/communities. We need more information to find out what’s similar between those of you who are having issues.
I unfortunately cannot run a trace route at the moment but my connections appears to be stable.
Just a bit of info for you. I logged on fine last night and teleported to the forbidden reach using a waygate. When I got there, all rares were up and I noticed no one was out there. There was also an elemental event. Picked up daily quests and flew to the elemental event and killed one mob. I then dc’d upon mounting. My character select screen was black except for the character box outline so I quit out and re-opened. Logged in fine, dc’d, black screen. Restarted, logged in, flew for 20 seconds, dc’d. This time I was able to log right back in, flew for 20 seconds, dc’d. Logged right back in, still apparently on my own shard. Tried to heart, and dc’d every time bar filled up. Logged in, flew to waking shores dc’ing 3 more times. Got there, dc’d, restarted my computer, logged back in and was able to hearth to Valdrakken. Was online for about 10 minutes fine. Logged out to switch characters, black screen again and problems started again on all toons. Waited about 10 minutes and logged back in and was in permanently. After about an hour dc’d again but was able to get right back in. Then ran a m+ with no problems. No apparent problems today.
The biggest oddity was that I was apparently on my own shard in forbidden reach.
I’ve personally had characters both in guilds, and out of guilds have the issue of rapidly d/cing. Didn’t realize so many people were having the same issue at first, that said I went bonkers trying to figure it out.
I deleted my interface, wtf, and cache folder. I did a fresh install and on some characters I still had the issue.
As of right now, it is 3:57pm for me, and I haven’t had any more dcs since about 11:15am, while my roomie appears to be having them still.
The -only- thing I can think of that I personally may have changed to fix it for myself was that I turned off ‘optimize network for speed’… and really, I can’t even promise that such fixed it, and I’m just lucky.
