- Play a hunter
- Talent into barrage
- Always have pet taunt on (no, it doesn’t auto-switch off in visions apparently).
3a. Immediately start attacking mobs again before the group is able to recover from a near wipe.
- Wipe the group.
^this is what a hunter player does in every vision group i’ve been in. It wouldn’t be so bad if not for the fact that the mage quarter in SW is orders of magnitude more tricky to pull than any other area in either SW or Org. As a result of these players stupidity, I am forced to decline every hunter player that applies to my group from now on.
Hunter players, keeping the meme alive since 2004.
That is all. You may now return to your regularly scheduled programming.

Why are you doing visions in groups?

You’re right. I shouldn’t be. But sometimes I’m lonely! It’s OK. I’ll just decline the hunters and everything will be good.

I’m sorry. As huntard, I do my best not to fit the stereotype, but I often fail.

There’s a reason why they are known as huntards since vanilla.

I quit playing mine for that reason. i remember when barrage first came out and people just couldn’t figure out to not pull everything by simply stepping back to a certain distance. visions no different nowadays dungeons no different growl on for the hell of it i guess. oh well its like the meme’s in wow, it will never die.
I only take Barrage in certain situations, otherwise Stomp is superior for DPS output. Though it is an AOE it’s a way smaller one and isn’t likely to pull the trash in the next room because it went through the walls.
Isn’t taunt automatically turned off upon entering all instanced content now?

In group content I always put away my pet for the 10 percent damage increase. And barrage is on the far right of my bars so that I dont hit it accidentally.

Cant blame all hunters for the idiots you get to play with.
But one thing is for sure: No good hunter spec barrage. EVER.

You are not wrong. I never spec it, and never will. I main a hunter since 2005, and have NEVER gotten kicked out of a group.
I am real proud of that little fact

I only spec barrage when soloing. To say a good hunter should never spec barrage is, well, dumb. Sure, it’s situational, but it has it’s uses.

I must be lucky, the hunter I group with does really good.
I only took barrage in WoD back when it did more than slightly tickle the enemy.

Those aren’t hunters, those are players who main other classes and have hunters as an alt and don’t know how to play hunters.

I really miss the days when group members were able to communicate with each other. I use Ventrilo myself and if they didn’t have Ventrilo, they didn’t get into my groups. Then we form outside the Dungeon / Raid Area, and the Group Leader starts giving out needed directions to the other group members. If there is a certain thing the Boss needed then that was plainly discussed with the others. Being able to Hear the Group Leader, and Not have to look down and scroll thru that Chat window crap Really helps a LOT! So Get with your Guild, and try to form your groups so you can do this too.
Sorry for your experience, don’t invite hunters to visions, all the good ones are doing them solo because we can do them laughably easy by ourselves.

Because they’re set up to be done in groups or solo. Some like to actually take advantage of the social aspect of an MMO. Shocking, I know.
