Rant about people asking for ports and about ignoring people

It’s bad enough that people are buying runs and buying shortcuts, but Players asking for a port to Iron Forge From Stormwind or Darnasas from Booty Bay, take it to a whole new level of utter idiocy.
I recently saw someone asking for a port to Stormwind from Searing Gorge

If you’re in SW then take the tram
If you’re in Booty Bay take the damn boat
Don’t even say you don’t have a flight path from Searing gorge to Stormwind

You don’t need to be asking for ports from those areas.

As for ignoring people.
If you’re going to ignore someone then do it and shut the hell up about the person.

I’m sick and tired of reading utter stupidity from trolls who brag about putting someone on ignore and then having a 15 minute conversation in chat about them bashing them and harassing them with other players who also claim to have someone on ignore

Players pulling crap like that need to be banned.

P.S. Dont even come at me with I can leave the chat trying to change the subject. People aren’t supposed to be using the chat like that so piss off I can leave chat.

I just put them on global ignore list and move on. I don’t think blizzard can do anything about it. If they try, people will just do it more often. If they regulated the game based on people I have on my global ignore list, there wouldn’t be many players left in classic.

I’ll always remember this player who was asking for a port to Undercity from Orgrimmar. He was yelling it out asking for about 15 minutes. eventually someone gave him a port.
… That player could have just rode outside and taken the zep there in less time.

I also think it’s absolutely insane that people pay about 8g just to get summoned to yojamba isle. So you can save a little bit of time.
I mean people can do what they want, but god damn lol.

Can’t you find a way to make gold from people like that?

They likely are trying to preserve their buffs or in a rush to obtain one.

Imagine complaining about a service having a demand.

WTB (x7) summons to Kargath.
Will also buy (x6) summons to Everlook.

Hey, if they’re willing to pay, I’ll port them from wherever they want. :man_shrugging:

I played warlock a lot in Vanilla and I got several whispers per day from people asking me to summon them to places like Feralas or Thousand Needles.

One thing i forgot to mention is that for anyone that wants to defend this crap or that Blizzard has no problem with people not playing the game I direct you to the PATHFINDER achievement.

A mages port/warlocks summon are not supposed to be being used to by passing playing the game.

In closing:
Pandering to these clowns only encourages it and make the problem worse, which is I refuse to do it.

I’m a mage and I don’t approve this message. The port part that is.

Wee woo wee woo

That’s them, officer. The people playing the game the way I don’t like.

What’s with people like you always using the word PLAY, in a situation it doesn’t apply to?
People pulling this pay to win crap, are not PLAYING at all.

Quit being dense on purpose.

If someone is

  1. Logged in to the game and
  2. Actively playing their character

Then you are playing the game. What people choose to do with their playtime, whether it’s spending 45 minutes running across Kalimdor or paying a mage to teleport from Stormwind to Goldshire, is their perogative. Summons and teleports exist in game and no one has any right to tell anyone else how to use them, plain and simple. If someone wants to spend an hour begging for a teleport from SW to IF, then that’s how they spend their time. If such minor things bother you, then perhaps it is time to take a step back from the game.

People also have the right to converse about whatever they want as long as it doesn’t violate the terms of service. If you don’t like it then you can indeed leave the channel.

There is nothing to complain about with the first situation. People are paying for a service that is optional to begin with.

I agree about the complainers though. But we live in an era of insufferable brats.

Who are you to tell people how to spend their time in a video game? I agree its pure laziness that people do that. But i could care less what they do with their time. It does not effect me whatsoever. People will always try to find the easiest way to do something. Classic is not “Classic”. People already know the strats, the shortcuts, how to make money, the fastest way to 60. If people are bothering you that much you have to make a post about it then maybe you should take a break or move on to something else. People will continue to take shortcuts, Blizzard nor you are going to do anything to stop them. It is what it is.

You don’t need to be posting stupid forum topics, but here you are.

LOL buying a port is “pay to win?” I don’t think you know what that term means in this context.

Why do ports and summons exist if not to avoid full travel times? Please enlighten me.

I often wonder how these WoWHards deal with things in real life.

Might be a reality show in there.

Sheesh it’s just 20s dude get a grip your class can print gold and boost alts. You don’t even need clickers lol. I summon scrubs for free and usually get tipped without asking. Broke mage mains are the real lazy boys

I often port myself from org, to org, just to respec.

You should spend more time leveling and less time worrying about what other people do. You’re level 15 and it’s been over a year of Classic.
