Rant about how much i hate the primus

the primus, leader of maldraxxus, legendary weaponsmith, defender of the shadowlands, military genius, one of the strongest characters (lorewise) in WoW, who as fought countless battles and lived to tell about it- and he’s a frikkin spellcaster. even worse, he’s basically a warlock (only without any real ties to fel-magic) big horns, robes with runes on’em, skull-staff…

i hate it. i hate that he’s a spellcaster. maldraxxus is the land where victory is everything, where if your a tough-guy in life, chances are you’ll end-up there, fighting to defend the realms of death. and the leader does’nt fight his foes head-to-head, instead he sits back, flinging spells. one of the strongest characters in the game… and he’s a caster.

now, i’m about to sound like one of those crazy warrior-mains (i’m not), so just to get some facts out of the way and clarify: i’m not mad that warlocks in the past (and i think now as well, have yet to check) have been overpowered as crap. i’m not mad about that… in fact, i actually enjoy it! makes me feel strong on my destro lock!

but to have one of the most hyped-up, leader of warriors, legendary smiths, powerful characters, cast dark-magic and look suspiciously like a roided-up warlock… i dunno, it just triggers me. makes me feel like the OP-ness of locks, is baked into the lore now.

anyway, rant over. i’ve just had this baking in my head for the past couple weeks, and had to get it out there. hope you all have a good day gd, i’m… gonna go take a nap.

And let’s not forget he lost the ability to forge cool looking gear

Also, isn’t he just a Warcraft Krampus?

I disagree with how much emphasis you’re putting on him being a caster and that being an issue. KJ is a caster and he’s probably my number one on epic characters. Same with Archimonde. Maldraxxus is all about a Warriors spirit, not a Warriors quads.

It’s fitting that the master smith isn’t the master swordsman. He reminds me of Celebrimbor.

But I will agree with you that he’s a underwhelming character. He also looks nothing like I expected.

I mean, all the cool and powerful characters are spellcasters. If I can create massive fireballs and conjure ghost ships, who cares how much you can bench press.

He would have been much cooler if the theories are true about the alternate Shadowlands story that made him the secret villain.

Why is he barefoot and why are his feet so big AND why I am forced to be near that :face_vomiting:

Don’t worry, Shadowlands is all just a hallucination induced by N’Zoth letting us believe we defeated him in BFA so that he could take over Azeroth without us thwarting him. This is why everything is awakening on the Dragon Isles because it’s the duty of the Dragonflights to stop Azeroth from becoming corrupted.

Maldraxxus is not about warrior class but about warrior spirit.

5 houses and only 1 of them are warriors. House of the chosen. 2 of them caster, plague and rituals, 1 is rogue, eyes and the last one is kinda jack-of-all, constructs.

We also know that some of the most powerful beings in WOW are casters. In fact, pure bruteforce warriors are actually lower in the power rankings.

The Primus we were promised versus the Primus we got.

I wonder what race is he?. He is like a human-dwarf but giant. His skeleton looks like the witches of Drustvar the ones with hunchback.
Also i would like to ignite his beard.

We’ve all changed since our college days. Let’s be fair here.

I can’t even see his 4ft long toenails… he is perfect. We were scammed!

Welcome to Shadowlands—the land of disappointment

He gave me Fleshcraft. So, I’m happy with who ever Primus is.

Could be a disguise. Primus could secretly be the Green Inferno cannible mistress of mayhem and murder herself, Lady Moonberry and the one in Ardenweald is just an astral projection.

Don’t care who, cause fleshcraft.

I can’t look at him and not see Dumbledore.

The Necrolords are basically supposed to be the “Ultimate Army”. Therefore, the Primus is meant to be the “Ultimate General”, with stratagems upon stratagems and a cunning mind.

I think he’s plenty fitting to that idea.

He looks like an old man but he’s certainly not frail - of all the Covenant leaders he’s the only one to go toe-to-toe with Zovaal. Heck, even Zovaal retreated from him after their fight.

The Primus always gave off the vibe of fear the old man in a profession where most die young to me. Lets not forget that he let Helya blather on for awhile to make it that much more humiliating for her to be crushed like a tin can. Guys metal as heck.

Have you ever tried punching a mage.

Makes sense to me why he’s the leader of the pvp forces.

lmao.

A Kul Tiran mage will punch you across half the zone. I love haymaker.
