Ranking Epic BGs?

How would you rank epic BGs in order from your favorite to least favorite?

Personally, my order goes:
Wintergrasp (defense)
IOC
Wintergrasp (attack)
Alterac Valley
Ashran

I still find WG attack and AV to be very fun, ofc, but I just prefer the first two due to the strategies I was able to develop and flesh out from them.
Ashran I’m still kinda new with, and it seems less PVP oriented than the others (half the game is PVE) so I’m ranking it at the bottom.

So what about you?

Huh? Ashran has tons of PvP dude, certainly much more than Wintergrasp :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Ashran with 300 reinforcements was the best, non-stop PvP for up to like 90 minutes.

I have to rank for both alliance and horde:

Alliance (best to worst):

  • IoC
  • WG, Defense (have a slight chance)
  • AV (map is pretty)
  • WG, Attacking (very low confidence in ally here, lolz)
  • Ashran (super boring ally PvE nincompoop map)

Horde (best to worst):

  • AV (yay horde zug zug!)
  • WG, Defense (E Z Mode)
  • WG, Attacking (pretty good chance to smash 'em)
  • IoC
  • Ashran (super boring horde PvE prolly-win map)

  3. Wintergrasp (can be really fun or really terrible. Would be higher if matches were more competitive and not decided in the first couple minutes)

I don’t actually play Ashran. I just afk out.

At the moment I am inclined to put wg last. I am down to 27% win rate in wg with so many of those losses rushing sr 10 to 20 people down or back filling with as little as a couple of seconds to go.

For me

  • av
  • ioc
  • ashran
  • either way of playing wg

Ioc and ashran can swap order depending on mood and whether they are actual attempts or continuous are we winning yet?

As for southshore vs tarren mill, the only thing I have to say about it is the chat makes epic chat suitable for sunday lunch. Only played it twice and still making up my mind.

This is exactly mine as well, but on occasion I might rate IoC over WG offense.

I’m glad that we’ve been getting more epic BG’s but ashran does nothing for me personally.

AV is the only one i genuinely like.

i can tolerate IoC and WG once every few days or so, but dont really like them

Ashran is /afk every time, didnt like it in wod and its worse now
