If you were unlucky enough to not be able to get marks in the lead up to phase 3 and want to do the grind now. JUST to get rank 5 and 80% (the minimum to progress ranking) you need over 50k honor.
With the current STV rewards being 1 silver per 250 honor means you need 200 silver coins. now to get rank 7 you need 110k honor which is 440 coins.
The grind is even harder in BG’s.
Please blizz, surely fix this oversight or reduce the minimum amount required in order to progress rankings
Yeah kinda silly honestly. This is the only scenario where sweatlords that grinded this stuff out in the previous phases are winning because it’s nearly impossible given the stv nerf and the abyssmal BG rewards, I’m just gonna casually pvp until something changes or simply not worry about it cause, whew.
They just need to revert the coins to 250 copper per 250 honor its stupid they made the grind 4 times its literally impossible for anyone with a life to rank on alliance side now and this is from someone that got my rank 7 on my main already using last phases commendations. Horde of course are happy because it means less bg wait time but for alliance its just instant queues into losses makes me wanna kms.

I did the 110k honor grind from last Friday afternoon to Monday morning. (About 2-5 hours a day depending on the day.)
Wasn’t overly fun, but well worth it for the r7 gear. Was ESPECIALLY painful being an enhancement shaman with 2800 health (Gnomer Gear) in a BG where Starfire crits you for 2000 and Priests do that much damage with 2 dots even without the crits.
its like 2 hours of battlegrounds a day if that. perfectly doable.
Why do you think people are camping incursions and Mara? That’s what ya gotta do for now unless you have a very well coordinated 5 stack on discord

I clapped 40k honor in a casual late night ownage fest just yesterday. Even killed our favorite priest poster recently. Get gud. You should have to pvp for pvp rewards. We have to go to raid to get raid rewards.

Imagine complaining when 5-7 was 110k honor so I’m kind of lost. I didn’t need tokens and grinded 110k honor in bgs before the launch of the phase between Tuesday and Thursday. And I have 2 jobs 2 wives 5 kids touch grass and I took your mom out Wednesday evening.
its way easier for horde. only had 51k worth of BM tokens on my alt but we win most ABs. did not take long to finish it up.
Now try doing that as alliance.
Personally, like many others, I’m just waiting for AV.
Also shamans are really OP right now.
Easily I’d just roll hunter,Spriest, or a boomkin. Then I’d get in discord with 4 other people. And then I would steamroll every game.
Just like I do, right now. Sometimes when the party is full we just 2 5 man group queue into the same game and HILARIOUSLY this would be easier as alliance just like it was in tbc because less people pvp on alliance.

The hunter in my guild did the entire honor grind for this phase the first week of phase 3 in bg’s. It was some serious dedication, but it wasn’t impossible.
