Anyone know what it will take to get this core? I think it’s malefic core? Is it like full clear or full clear plus a mask or something? This is the cores to rank up after rank 15
I just worry about the ranks as they come but I think a full clear for the core is a good assumption. I don’t think they will involve any of the masks.
Nope pretty sure they just require like 8 or 10 pages from the two lost zones. So you don’t need to full clear just be able to clear both the harder zones then the main boss. I could be wrong and if I am I’ll delete this.
That’s for the upgrades from 11-15. The upgrades above rank 15 require a different core. And I hope its just full clear so that we can rank more than once a week (which blizzard has officially said will be the case).

It will be like crystalized fel from WoD most likely. And I think we won’t be able to work on it until after we reach 15. Haven’t seen anything other than it would come from the first kill of n’zoth or whatever benchmark we need to have in visions.
I think Blizzard has more recently stated that they are going to speed that up, allowing multiple cloak rank upgrades after you hit rank 15.
Still doesnt tell me what I will need to get the rank ups after level 15.
Since the masks only increase memento and gear levels, I wouldn’t expect them to be part of the requirement for the malefic core. A full clear would be sufficient. That being said, I’m sure any full clear, whether maskless or not, would qualify.
I thought getting ranks past 15 required a drop from nzoth. On a weekly lockout, regardless of difficulty.
It’s an either/or scenario. You can kill N’Zoth or you can do whatever in the Visions that’s required. So one +3 resistance upgrade a week.
That’s one option. According to the only Blizzard post on this topic, it’s N’Zoth drop on N/H/M for the week, or a full clear Horrific Vision.
The post on that wowhead page uses a lot of “or” when listing those things out. Which means that we likely won’t be getting anything more than just one malefic core per week. And would then place final +125 cloak resistance being available September 8th.

Nah, this is incorrect.
Here’s how it works. Next week will require eight pages. The following week requires a new book. Then the week after that requires 6 pages from lost zones, and then the week after that requires 12 pages from lost zones.
And the last rank (15) requires 18 pages. Better start saving up those vessels!
I could have sword I read somewhere recently that Blizzard stated they would make it faster than one upgrade a week after Rank 15. I mean September is damn near when the expansion will be out.
Shadowlands isn’t going to be ready for early Fall (and you really really shouldn’t want it to be either). We still don’t have a public alpha for it. My guessing at it is that once we hit that date, they’ll then have a month of catchup on the cloak. After that 4-6 weeks of pre-patch, and then expansion. Which would place it sometime after Blizzcon. Also haven’t seen any post referring to what you’ve said other than the one talking about cloak upgrades beyond 15 (on that wowhead page).

Would be on par with Legion and WoD, if that were the case. I’d hope most are aware it’s not going to launch in September.
For what it’s worth, I finished upgrading my third/final Argus trinket the reset before BFA prepatch launched. That was with killing Argus every week from the launch of Antorus.
Yeah, if you want the upgrade from 14-15 on that Tuesday you will need to max out with 5 vessels in your bag and 25k coalescing visions.
Then you’ll need to run a few visions to free up bag space, then do both the assaults, the lesser vision, and the quests! I think then you can get rank 15 that tuesday.
With how much people report hating Stormwind here, I imagine more than a few people will end up behind on cloak ranks.

Since the only difference between r14 and r15 is +10% sanity drain reduction, I think the majority of players will get the upgrade done over the week. Friday’s lesser assault flip would be another 5500+ visions – no need to scrape the bottom of the barrel on Tuesday/Wednesday to get the last vessels.
