In your opinion, what is the easiest Ranged DPS Class/Spec? And Why?
I've been playing WoW for 2 months, but only melee specs.
I usually dont like ranged but I guess I might give it a try since the leveling will be faster in 8.1.
Im looking for a chill, fun class so I can roll Uldir and M+ having a good time. Just a simple skill rotation and management. Not into tanking or healing.
In my opinion and current experience, BM Hunter is probably the easiest. Marks is a bit too...weak, and we all know Survival is Melee.
As wanting to relax, it depends if you like having to cancel your spellcasts on any casters anytime you have to move out of the fire. At least with BM, you can move and shoot.

IMO and having leveled a few ranged to max, I would say Lock or Hunter. Both have pets that can tank and taunt so you can pull mobs and do your thing.

What about the pet? does it helps or is it just annoying? I read that it can !@#$ up on dungeons, etc
The pet is great for soloing, and all you have to do when entering a dungeon is just right-click the Growl icon in your pet's action bar and it will no longer taunt targets you're attacking. The pet AI can sometimes be a bit difficult with regard to accidentally pulling things, but it's so infrequent as to be effectively a non-issue with only a modicum of monitoring.11/08/2018 08:41 AMPosted by NinjakillzWhat about the pet? does it helps or is it just annoying? Warlock pets are the same; you simply use one of the demons that doesn't have the taunt ability, or turn it off. But for ranged classes, I'd say that hunters (specifically BM) are the go-to for an easier learning curve.

Pet growl now turns off automatically when you enter a dungeon
Destruction is by far the easiest ranged spec in the game.
Build, build spend, and you can even have a Tank pet for leveling.

I have always played a BM hunter because I solo almost exclusively. Pets are awesome to have and if you do go to dungeons or raids the growl now turns off automatically. Leveling to me is much faster as a hunter because of the pet and being able to move while firing is good.
I've played a lot of Lock/Mage/Hunter this expansion. Gonna give this one to Destro and BM. I'd probably put BM ahead just because it has better mobility and can use a spirit beast to self-heal without standing still and ruining its dps, making it a more forgiving class wrt survivability.
Can't speak for Shadow/Ele/Balance.

Frost Mage is very chill.
Seriously though, it's easy. Just cast frostbolts.

I absolutely hated leveling my hunter. Once I got her to 110 for the heritage armor for my main, I promptly deleted her. That being said, BM is fast for levelling and brain dead to play. I'd do it stints with wow muted and listen to a podcast.

damm, that really wasnt fun for you lol
BM hunter is both easiest of ranged and one of the better ones to play because its easy so you can focus on killing stuff instead of watching your keyboard11/08/2018 08:31 AMPosted by NinjakillzIn your opinion, what is the easiest Ranged DPS Class/Spec? And Why?

Haven't really tried with others but as destruction warlock I can, with relative ease, gather mobs and aoe them while my minion tanks 'em......
Balance Druids are a lot of fun to me right now and I enjoy being able to change specs and roles if needed. They're fairly tough, have fun spells and rotations/procs and the celestial moonkin form glyph makes you look pretty cool.
I've found BM hunter and other ranged DPS to be less interesting and fun to play despite their strong damage numbers and survivability.

BM is the easiest spec of everything. You push about five buttons all the time and eventually push another three I think. Even in worse case scenario you auto attack and run around while your pet dishes out damage. Yes the pet can mess things up but you'll learn what areas you need to dismiss your pet and resommun.

Build build spend us all specs nowadays. Agree for the pet though.
Affliction is easy.
BM is easy as hell. If anyone tells you otherwise, it’s because they’re insecure and want to feel like they’re mechanically adept.
Fire mage is probably the easiest. It's essentially a 3 button spec that keeps things interesting by having procs to react to.
Cast fireball until heating up prcos.
Cast fireball and cast flame blast mid cast to force Hot streak,
Cast pyro as soon as FB finishes casting so they both hit at the same time.
Switch fireball to scorch if you need to move, need to generate a proc during combust and FB is down, or if mob is under 35% if talented.
Rinse repeat until boss is dead.
I concider this easier than arcane because you don't have to worry about good positioning because you can move and cast. A lot of fight require moving.
