My warrior just recently accepted a dual with a player that I didn’t realize was ranged (hunter). I couldn’t even get close to her before I lost. She also challenged other players who were melee. She didn’t challenge other ranged. Doesn’t seem to be a legitimate tactic . Is there a strategy that a melee player could use to dual a ranged, or is it simple not feasible?

Get close before the duel starts, use whatever mobility reducing abilities you have when you can, ignore their pet if they have one.
And for the record, they’re not ‘cowards’ for employing the tactics of their class against you. It’s their job to stay at range and pepper you with arrows/bullets/magic.

You have gap closer, they have gap extender. Burn their first then ooga booga them, but if you use your gap closer first, you’re dead.

That’s a hard one, you’ll have to damage both pets and hunter on their CD’s. It’s not easy with a hunter.
Add Charge back to your action bar.

Before anyone asks that was me joking because that’s usually my mindset when I PVP don’t take my word for it however cause I am god awful at PVP
That one was a coward. She only chose melee characters to challenge. Also she wasn’t a mage or other magic user that needs time to make bursts. She was a hunter and she knows it’s impossible for melee characters to get close enough to her to do damage.

I’m so confused, as a warrior do you not have charge and heroic leap to get close? And ways to slow the Hunter down?
Oh wait, you have your bar and macros set up with a strictly DPS rotation and ignore all utility spells… got it.

You can on a warrior.double time .charge ,clap, fear ,heroic leap ,bleeds oh a warrior can take her down it’s the matter of timing.

Perhaps they’re just trying to learn their kiting skills, and you got destroyed by someone practicing.

… the tactic is to use your skillset to close the gap and not allow them to start the duel so far away to begin with. Trust me, if a frost dk can kill hunters, a warrior 100% can.
