Random warning

I thought i had posted in this GD, so long story short have not play WoW in about a month, been caring for my BF. Logged on today for first time, wow had update so i hop onto classic, had like one thank you for my report, 4 others were warnings on me…oh im sure somehow i cheesed somebody off, I don’t remember what or when, cause i rarely speak ingame unless it’s for kicks, again im sure its all me./shrug

You gotten my warning. I’d though that the script that I had written failed, again.

I’m sure there’s more to it than you’re mentioning, but I’ll give you the benefit of a doubt. Were you in any parties with jerks, lately? Grab some nodes that others were after? Either way, I hope that nothings comes out of this…

Honest, i have not played until today, have bigger worries than perhaps someone not liking my sense of humour ingame. Last i remember was participating in general chat with everyone on xmogs i believe. I dont even know, then only time i remember being a pain was back during hallows end and i was giving the players a hard time about not putting fires out fast enough, called em nerds. Then other players were talking crap about me being gay or something to that effect, othwrwise…i just chunk pumpkins on other ppl./shrug

Then, it’s probably just jerks that get off on reporting people. I wouldn’t worry too much about it…

Only person i grouped with was my BF, then only when we were doing TWs however ppl even then seldom spoke, id iniate a vote kick if need be…ah well im not saying im innocent, just wish i could remember the time/place.

Unfortunately, Blizz rarely gives actual reason and/or the names of the complainants. The warnings were probably just auto-generated (like the report thank you’s), so if you know that you’re innocent, don’t sweat it. Just enjoy the game…

…and I hope that your BF is feeling better…

Thank you appreciate it. Just one day at a time…

there is a reason you disable all chat in game. Switch to discord and enjoy being social again. Blizz has proven they no longer care about their games. Especially with the constant mail, whispers, etc from gold sellers I keep getting if I dare spend more than 5 minutes playing.

Warnings aren’t treated as a sign of wrongdoing. Instead, it’s letting you know that, for whatever reason, your account has been reported numerous times. It’s to give you a chance to see what you may be doing to annoy the community to the point they’re reporting you and, preferably, put a stop to it!

You aren’t penalized or otherwise marked purely due to warnings.

unfortunately it is being used by trolls to mass spam the report button for anyone who dares speak in game publicly.

I have no problem treating people accordingly. Im mostly all talk anyways, after current events going on in my life right now, i want to be nothing but kind, even more caring and understanding. In game and outside of game. Appreall the positive feedback

Rest assured that GMs are not a very big fan of false reports. If nothing else for the reason that it makes their job that much harder.

They tend to treat such things a bit harshly, eventually!

This i also believe in, although i know many probably do not.

Just join your guild’s discord and the discord wow trade and keep it up on your phone or secondary display. It is a far more cohesive experience and because the entire purpose is a moderated experience where it is overlooked by actual human beings instead of an AI bot with barely any more IQ than counting reports against a name and looking at keywords. Then disable in game chat entirely. There are entire hug boxes for hate filled individuals as well if that is where you feel most welcome. To each their own I guess, but the point is, Blizzard has all but given up because they ended up letting go of a large portion of their staff. Whoever is left is really over worked right now and it shows.

If you spent any time in discord you would know that is exactly what is going on. From educated guess of people better than I or at the very least more in the know, “people are not happy with the direction of the game and representation so they are using and abusing the report button en masse with burner accounts to overwhelm Blizz employees in an effort to punish both the players and Blizzard.”

If and when i clme back to the game full time, i may join a discord or turn off chat all together. I dont raid so

It is more than for raiding now, and like I said, it is a far more cohesive experience. Voice chat for guild is like team speak of old. If you wish to only do text chat, like trade chat, is just that. You don’t have to be in a city to talk in trade which relieves a LOT of issues in game.

Oh come on, it’s only $.22 for 100mg!!! and $2 for a level 70! Didn’tcha know and all  I am so sick of it tbh and I don’t get how Blizz hasn’t caught onto it by now.

Can be used for battle grounds? Havent used voice chat since like 2011
