Random topic: what would you consider to be TO BIG for a gaming pc monitor?

Just curious how big is 'to big" in my fellow gamers eyes. I was a huge fan of Ultra wides and have the asus curved (think it was the 34?) Just upgraded to the Asus PQ43U. But again question stands what is to big?

It can never be too big. The bigger the better.

Yeah I’m no expert or any kind of computer tech so I hooked up a couple I think they were 55 to 60 inch flatscreen TVs that I was using his monitors it worked out great for me

If you’re looking for average, I’m taken, but lucky for you, I have a brother! :joy:

I game on a 27" but would like something bigger.

Bigger is better. Personally, I hook mine up to my Fire TV at every available opportunity if I’m playing WoW or something else on my PC. It’s got a Game Mode and everything to make my games look more vibrant.

Don’t cheap out and get old 1080i tvs as a monitor.

The frame rate can be severely delayed or will not get you the best quality.

If your monitor does not fit into the room you play games in, no matter how you turn it - that monitor is too big.

I think 27" is about perfect. Too much bigger and it gets kind of ridiculous for something that’s not-so-far from your face.

My personal opinion it is to large if you have to move your head in order to see things. I use a 34 inch, but it is positioned where I can see it all within my field of vision.

I’ve always wanted to hook the game up to a Jumbotron somewhere so I’m probably not the right guy to ask.

Ask God.

He may say infinite screens of infinite size pale in the shadow of what is happening

I figured with all the add-ons and such, the bigger the better.

Pretty much same boat, I’m using the Samsung Odyssey G9, it’s basically the size of my desk, and cost almost a month of salary lol

I went from a 31 inch TV screen to a 43 inch TV screen and am pretty happy with bigger is better, so happy in fact, that next time I am going to try a 50 inch.

But I play lounging on my couch with the TV (and PC and everything else) 6-7 feet away on one of those big plastic folding tables (with a stretchy cover on it) so I can adjust distance and angle at will for max comfort and enjoyment.

I would argue that the room you game in is too small if it doesn’t fit the monitor.

Fair point. Upgrade your rooms!

I discovered 27 is big enough for me lol. I recently went from 23 to 27 because the 27 was a good deal and it’s much bigger. I’m glad I got it because I was considering getting a 32 inch and that would have been way too much.

But I sit like 1 foot from my monitor and whatever size monitor I got I would still sit like 1 foot from it so I’m not adjusting where I sit to suit the new monitor so it has to be a certain size or else I’ll have to consciously look around my screen vs all of the screen being in vision.

My monitor is 65-inches and hanging on the wall.

If i’ve gotta set my watch to CST everytime i need to power it down, its too big. Otherwise im good with it.
