Was doing the world quest The Faceless Herald. After completing the quest and leaving the raid group I was teleported into an uninstanced version of Crucible of Storms with a couple other people. Upon drowning myself to escape I attempted to run back only to be met with the message “Your corpse is not in that instance”

I just had the same problem while I was doing ‘Trinkets and Baubles’. I had just passed the entrance but didn’t go up to it. A second later I was in the dungeon with no mobs and no way out. Couldn’t even get to the water to drown myself.
I’ve read that this could be “punishment” for not filling out the GM survey after closing a ticket. I did have a survey waiting for probably 4 days or so. If you also had one, there may be some morsel of truth to the rumor.
I ended up having to teleport out and travel back on foot. Not pleasant.
And by “punishment” I mean trolling.
