Random Suspension No Email/Warning

It’s a hard lesson learned, I’m afraid. Room for human error would be exploited out the wazoo. That’s a very sad fact of the matter. They keep sanctions and rules that they hold everyone to as uniformly as they possibly can just so no one person can be seen as having been given some sort of special treatment.

I am sorry, for what it’s worth. Please do keep your appeals open. In case you were unaware, you can appeal and appeal again until they warn you that no more appeals will be accepted. Good luck with your appeals, and at the worst, hopefully the time off will pass quickly for you.

I read about another person who recently has had the same problem, as he didn’t know either  I am really hoping Blizzard will give me some human error leeway because he also had a 2 week suspension but it was lifted. I really really really really didn’t know about this and I stg I will never post in trade again after this.

Each case is different. These aren’t nearly as similar as you may think.

I do wish you the best - your appeal is open and in queue.

I really hope it goes well, I really need it too, or my entire season is possibly over as we know it. It was an accident, and it won’t happen again, and I am sorry. Thank you Orylia…

Orlyia are you a CS still? My wife’s account got suspended on July 4th, 2024, and we have no idea why. We’re not bots, we play normally. She didn’t even receive an email stating why it was suspended. If you can help, I will send her name.

Your wife’s best option is to appeal the account action using the following link:

She should indeed have received an email to the associated email address. She might want to check spam/junk mail too.

Just to advise also, there’s not much information that will be shared about someone else’s account on the forums.

We appealed. There was nothing in the spam folders either. We have no clue why or what happened. I thought it was fake or some kind of scam trying to get her to log in and they might get her password somehow. We didn’t put in any info, restarted the pc, then restarted the patcher and it still said suspended. We are baffled.

I googled suspended for no reason, and this was one of the only threads someone got some help in. Was just hoping she can figure out why if anything since we are pretty good and help a lot in game.

Your wife only route is to appeal, nothing on the forums can help in this regard as the blues here have no power over what the appeal team does. Even then, as you’re a 3rd party, they’re basically unable to speak on such. Regardless of relationships.

There are two categories for “no reason”.

  1. The person did not get the email with the account action notice and category. That email may have not been sent yet (batch mailing), or might have been eaten by their spam or promotion filters.
  2. They got the email, but don’t agree they deserved it. As in “what I said is no reason to suspend me” - type of thing.

There is always a REASON an account receives an action on it. It does not just come out of the sky like lightning. Hopefully the email your wife needs will show up with her penalty category, or a Blue can clarify the category when they get in. If you want to tell a Blue what her account is provide the [character name- server]. That keeps her private info private and allows Blizzard to find the account.

Even if they do tell you the exact reasons, her only option is an appeal ticket as everyone has said. I do wish her the best of luck sorting this out.
